1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted November 18, 2020 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted November 18, 2020 As title suggests I am having a problem with pilot position in VR on my Rift S in BoX. Have read where you set position in 2D using the Insert/Home/PgUp keys etc, and save with F10. However I still find myself too high/forward/back and centering view does nothing in Steam VR. How have others fixed this if they experienced it?

1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted November 18, 2020 Author 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted November 18, 2020 Thanks Colin, that one I had seen - Did I get it right you have to do this for every plane? However the issue I have for example is that I am actually positioned behind the seat, with head height 1-2 feet above the wings in the Tempest. In any other VR game I would simply reset view and that would fix it, IL2 does not appear to respect that...
1. DDz Quorum Friar Posted November 18, 2020 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted November 18, 2020 yes, you can set a different position for each plane. What I have done lately is to have the keyboard to hand and then position my head where I would like it to be. then press F10. This seems to set the view. When I next press my VR centre key, it puts me at this new position. You need the keyboard to hand because if you are reaching for it when you press F10, that is the position you get. I put it on my lap when setting the position up.
DD_Arthur
I have 'centre VR view' on my sticks hatswitch. Each time I get in the cockpit I simply centre VR view to how I want it. Setting up each plane individually? Not on yer' nellie! Also; just a reminder to people who have a Rift and are using horrible SteamVR to run it; NOOOOOOoooooooooooooo!!!!! Use this instead, much, much better https://gitlab.com/znixian/OpenOVR
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted November 18, 2020 Author 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted November 18, 2020 OpenOVR run as Administrator was the charm! Thanks Arthur, had the pleasure of shooting down a couple of BF109-E in a Tempest
