Snacko Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Been using this for a while. You have to use the 64bit version with DCS. The download that they point says it is v1.5.1, but it's not. It's really 1.4. I would suggest you download from the SweetFX site here. And select this version: SweetFX 1.5 Boulotaur2024's Injector with CeeJayDK's 1.5.1 shaders and more. (x64 support) It contains both the 2 dlls for 32 and 64 bit, so it works with any game. You just need to copy the appropriate dlls to the game folder. Quote
OverDhill Posted November 19, 2014 Author Posted November 19, 2014 Thanks. I had not gotten to DCS yet. Edit: I had some time and tried it. With the included SweetFX_settings.txt there was a little noticeable difference. I then tried the one from the thread and it just sorta pops the colors. On my monitor it looks sweet (no pun intended). http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=94417&d=1392411019 I then took the time to add some MODs I have been looking at and using JSGME I dropped them in. JSGME for DCS http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607&highlight=Toby23%27s+Enhanced+Terrain+Highways+Villages+Rocky%27s+Trees Better Explosion Sounds v0.9 by Boris http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=132069&highlight=Explosion+Sounds Clouds & Sky complete v5.56 http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=113374 F15C E Audio Production Mod 2.0 http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/648201/ Fence & gate models http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=103341 HDR with a 'D' like Dynamic for DCS WORLD http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=105421&highlight=HDR+%27D%27+Dynamic+DCS+WORLD Toby23's Enhanced Terrain + Highways Villages + Rocky's Trees http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=115359 They are all suppose to be JSGME compatible and gave no conflict errors. A quick test flight in the FC3 F15C had no problems and looked and sounded great. I will post any problems I encounter. Quote
Snacko Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Look for Enhanced Grass 4k and 8k versions. Also check out the radio chatter mod by Chazz_BMF and Afterburner sound by WineNB. If you have the Mig21 there's a sweet black cockpit mod. There is also a New Fire and Smoke mod, but I have not see it in game yet, even though I installed it. Quote
1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted November 20, 2014 1. DDz Quorum Posted November 20, 2014 Why so difficult an approach? If on NVidia, download the latest drivers, and start playing with the DSR options... Quote
Snacko Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 That would affect everything on your computer. This only affects what you want, and can be tweaked differently and has a ton more options. Quote

Snacko Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Ok, maybe I don't know what these 'DSR' options are.. I thought you meant to just adjust the nVidia drivers contrast, brightness, etc...? That would affect your entire computer, right? EDIT: I just looked that up. And and did look into that a few weeks ago, but it doesn't work on multimonitors I think. It is disabled on my games. Quote
1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted November 21, 2014 1. DDz Quorum Posted November 21, 2014 It's absent on my IL2 and Clod profiles... but I did see an improvement on the antenna wires in CloD... and less edgy bitties in IL2.... Quote
OverDhill Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 I was playing around with DSR on my new 980 card and it does make CLOD look nice however VirtualCockpit for the extracted gauges on the second monitor is misaligned now. I was able to get it to work by changing the Windows desktop to 2715X1527 (obviously DSR will downsampling the desktop as well) but the icons and text become pretty small. So not sure I will continue to use it. It is a shame as it does help a lot smoothing things out. Quote
