T_O_A_D
My 660ti right now is using 314.7 I see the latest are 331.58. I'm considering updating, but I don't want to fall into a trap and loose what appears to work ATM for me.
1. DDz Quorum FoolTrottel Posted October 28, 2013 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted October 28, 2013 327.23 Updating fairly regularly. Well, haven't updated to the latest, obviously. Can't say I see any difference/change in every update. Running a GTX580 ...
DD_Arthur
Using the latest 331.58 here on my 6600ti. I missed the .20 series as they weren't as good as 314.7 but these new ones run better than ever. Tested in CLoD and RoF.
Mayhem
331.58 here, on GTX 670, no issues to speak of so far.
2. Administrators Jabo Posted October 28, 2013 2. Administrators Share Posted October 28, 2013 Always use the latest drivers on my GTX 580 - never had any issues with Nvidia releases. Jabo
T_O_A_D
Ok I'll go for it then. I'd read several times the 20's were a problem, then started noticing the 30's had supposedly turned around. I know when I first got it I had the 314 in and it ran fine, then I updated within the week and it killed it. Trying to stay up to date ya know, but in the past as we've experienced through the years, you can just end up a guinea pig. And it can take time for the drivers to grow up to the hardware. Thanks
2. Administrators Jabo Posted October 28, 2013 2. Administrators Share Posted October 28, 2013 I don't update the drivers manually, I let win 7 deal with it and everything seems to work fine. Can't explain why this doesn't work for you though Todd.
T_O_A_D
IIRC there is a setting that restricts it from doing that, If I run across it I'll post it.
T_O_A_D
Jabo I think it's because I do custom install, graphic and physx drivers only. I don't even have a update link when I go to help on the Nvidia control panel. I prefer not having any auto updates on, including Winders. Nothing more aggravating when a midst a fight and the screen pops to desktop LOL
2. Administrators Jabo Posted October 28, 2013 2. Administrators Share Posted October 28, 2013 Well, I always do an auto instal of the gfx drivers and am careful to ensure that windows stays up to date - I've never had a return to desktop due to a windows update since using Windows 7. Don't know why this seems to happen to other people all the time but never me? Odd. Jabo
