BluBear
Available here: http://www.ntsb.gov/news/events/2012/reno_nv/index.html Makes for interesting reading, and confirms a lot of what many of us initially predicted. "during which the vertical acceleration peaked at 17.3 G" Bloody Hell.

1. DDz Quorum Painless Posted August 29, 2012 1. DDz Quorum Share Posted August 29, 2012 ~S~ Christoff, Thanks M8 That makes for very interesting reading indeed. It confirms what we saw as far as the elevator trim tab goes and confims that it's partial failure was some time before it actually departed from the aircraft. The numbers are even worse than we knew! 17.3G was easily enough to break the seat , knock out or even kill "Jimmy" at the ripe old age of 74. Plus it all started at 445kts (512mph) !!! Wow. ~S~ P.
