BluBear
ROFers and enthusiasts of WW1 aircraft in the UK may want to check out this thread: http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?t=118674 The Shuttleworth collection have just taken delivery of a reproduction Snipe, RE-8 and Albatros from Peter Jackson's NZ workshop. Rumour is they will operate them for the rest of the year (yes flying!) and then they are destined to be static at RAF Hendon (BOOO!) So if you want to witness these rare birds (original engines too I believe) then you may want to toddle over to Biggleswade before the year is out! DD_Arthur
Fantastic but why send 'em to be non-flyers at Hendon? Surely if they're flyable they should be kept flying otherwise it's an awful lot of money tied up in static exhibits.
