  1. What if the Road to Arnhem does not end there? Could go North, West or East. Might result into "too much of the same" though Battle for the Schelde estuary? 1505-1506 Ardennes, from the German perspective?

  3. 402nd Good job. Good job. Weather was poor, we climbed through the cloud cover, clear skies at 8K ft. After spending some limited time over the clouds, it was time to dive back into them, to find our ground targets. Red 2 was out of sight for a bit in the cloud business, but joined us over the target. Did lots of damage North of Bullay, and a few clicks south. Red 3 reported some damage to his a/c, but no real issue flying wise. Went back to home base where we all landed. Red 2 suffered main gear collapse on touch down. He was fine, his P38 was not. Good show boys, your previous Squadron Leader must have been a brilliant mind for getting you all to this high level of performance!

  7. Major Arjen Eftee is dead. He could not manage flying, talking on comms and focusing on targets all at the same time. He was last seen diving down steeply into terra firma.

I'm sure we will still loose a/c in a nose dive with 50 fuel Most importantly: 100 Fuel is what they did back in the day - well, that's what I have been told anyways ... and that's what this campaign is about - well, that's what I have been told anyways. In short: Request Denied!

  10. There's really no point in doing that Crash ... Wish it was that simple. Like last mission, we were basically in the same area, same mission objective, same waypoints... In my opinion, one thing that could have made a difference in outcome was if 485th had taken off first, then they probably would've run into the enemy fighters before we did... (yet no guarantee) ... but they had some delay in take off. What is there to swap? If we really want to force a change in outcome, the only thing I can think of is that 485th always goes first, 402nd in shadow... but that's just ... silly. Some other changes are needed, and were suggested at mission debrief. It will get followed up soon is my guess...
  11. 402nd Took of with 6 a/c, 2x 1000lb, 100 Fuel. Headed towards Den Haag at 14Kft. Found 4 enemy a/c still over friendly lines. Ditched bombs, dealt with the enemy a/c, headed north for Den Haag. Once over there, ground control vectored us south to south east. Enemy a/c were encountered, and shot down. Two of us got damaged during the fight, one engine out. All landed safely at home base. Good show guys ... made me proud yet once more again! (Edit: FT took off with 50 Fuel ... oopsie. No problem, still some left back at home base, thanks to tips from the ones with knowledge, 30 on the manifold, 22 on the revs)
  12. Hi Dave! 🤪 We can't put too many details in a thread over here like this - its a bit too public. And it's all probably hidden for you on the forums, hence you could not find any relevant info. We do not want just anybody from the internets visit our TS and servers you know ... (Hey, it works, here's the proof!) We run a dogfight server with some 4 rotating missions/maps, every 90 minutes. (24/7) We run a dogfight server with one mission/map, restarting each and every 3 hours. (24/7, except when we are running coops or other special events) Both are these are only available with 'Mods enabled', and password protected. For skins we have some in the download section on the forums, we also have a utility called CheckSkins, which once installed on your pc will dowload some 50GB of skin files to your GBS, and it will also upload any skins you have and that we are missing. Access to that utility is also limited to DangerDogz. Once you've connected to our TS server, you will be automatically granted access to it though. (To download it, you need to be a DangerDogz member first). I bet someone will do something clever, like send you some passwords via PM. I am too lazy for that at the moment. We also have two CLOD servers running, though you did not ask for that info. Oh, and also two DCS servers. Have Fun!

  15. Hello Gary! 1. Checked! 2.Checked! For some sessions we use limited icons, we do use 'complex engine management' 3.Checked! Well, there's a 'Hey, mind your language!' call out on TS every now and then. 3.Checked! Our average age is estimated to be 58. We claim to be very good pilots though ... ground pounders and transports we do use. Some of us. (Our calculations regarding average scores or ages is not very good.) We are mostly NA and EU time zone though! We have one active aussie member, who gets up rather early to join our EU sessions. When I wake up, every now and then I see him on TS with the NA group. (We already have a 'Gary' in our group, so as to avoid issues with communication, we may need to call you 'Dave', as we already have two active members that go by the name 'Dave'. ) 😎
  16. 402nd Attacked targets at Emmerich, triple AA and transport. Estimated some 35 pieces destroyed. As we still had some bombs left, we ventured south and attacked AA guns and field artillery. Red 2 - dd_Jabo got hit by flak, nursed a/c to Ophoven base. He landed safely there. Rest of us (4 a/c) landed at home base. Good show 402nd!
  17. Ah, so, this could be why I regularly and mysteriously make the I-16's engine lose power? But, he mentions this twice: "not sure if DCS models this" And this "1" MP per 100 RPM rule of thumb." is not helpful in the I-16, as it not do MP in inches! Anyways, I'll lower revs in a dive, and keep some throttle open ... Thanks!

  19. This is the result of clearing the gun range area: So, this was done in 90 minutes. Me thinks one needs a gun like the Ferdinand has... (Not to be used as a reference - Friar has done some changes to the range ... so...)
  20. Alternatively, I could have the mission restarted once per hour? Though that might be too short for Town Skirmishesness? Maybe put it on the back burner for now, and whether it is an issue at all....
  21. This one was running for 6 hours, then restarted. I've decreased that to three hours - reason: If someone (sweper!) joins the tank range, he/she might clear it out completely, leaving nothing for others that join later! Or... Is there a different way to reset it? Destroy a target on the opposite side (behind the players tank?) that triggers a respawn? Hm, lots of work probably, result may not be worth the effort...
