  1. Also, prevent 'weird' characters when naming the files.
  2. Yeah, I'm thinkin' about using that one ...
  3. AVG has done that before. Falsely reporting il2fb.exe as being infected... It will probably do it again, somewhere in the future. Perf, why not create a backup copy of IL2 on an external disk? Or USB Stick? Keep it somewhere safe, disconnected. Me thinks it's could be an easier repair than System Restore... though you'd first have to fix/update AVG... before attempting to copy the file from the backup ...
  4. It stinks if it aint got Bluetooth. Not even USB. Bleh.
  5. Hey, yeah, I've tried that one in one of my longer missions... I don't think it worked, so I don't see any points in using it (Just saying, might as well have missed them - as in not hitted them - in the attack...) Cool feature indeed though ... but would a geezer getting home 'landing' on that runway get negative points if he went and did 'BOOM!' ?
  6. Flyboy, You could try and use CheckMods: Click! If you let it run, and fix issues (repeatedly) you should end up with a working 1946 HSFX installation... (Not saying there's no other way, but it could help you out if you are stuck trying to install the game in the traditional way)
  7. Sorry, you won't get that from me Probably I'm used to the traditional photography in such a way that I cannot accept any tricks or editing like that! (Have looked at some shots in that gallery, but I still think 'overdone'... not as much and not as nasty as the image I posted... but still ... ) What it boils down to is this: One can never ever capture the real image and store it, and display it again as in reality ... Well, not just yet anyways, where the number of colors and pixels are still way behind those used in RL (*real light*real eyes*real 3D*)... Oh, and then there's that thing called "calibration" ... lol. What I find more important in a photograph is basic lighting and composition: What is visible, where is it in the frame and stuff... that should do just fine to have a fine picture Then again, I hardly take any photographs anymore. My issue is that my mother used to be a professional photographer, so I grew up being exposed to how one should take good photo's all the time...
  8. Sorry, I am probably completely wrong here regarding HDR.... My understanding of 'HDR' is that image altering stuff, that makes it for increased contrast, and other weird stuff, making a normal picture look very 'dramatic'... if you've seen one pic like that, you think 'WOW, that's great, impressive!' , but after you've seen some 10 of 'm, you go 'Yuck, not that HDR again!' Like this:
  9. HDR = bleh!
  10. Good show Crash, impressive build!
  11. Thanks for this Kelly!
  12. One would think it would work to hook it up to 5v+ and ground? Here's an alternative: USB A-B cable with a led in the B connector ...

  14. Once again, open conf.ini, and change: [window] width=1680 height=1050 ColourBits=32 DepthBits=24 StencilBits=8 ChangeScreenRes=0 FullScreen=1 DrawIfNotFocused=1 EnableResize=0 EnableClose=0 SaveAspect=0 Use3Renders=0 Unless... it's in the game's menu's... then it's normal. Get in cockpit, should show without bars!
  15. Open conf.ini with Notepad, and look for: Intro=1 It's under the [game] section. Change the 1 into a 0, then save the file.
  16. If you copy the folder named 'users' (and all its contents) from the old install to the new install, then it will copy all pilot info ánd controls and key settings. Copy conf.ini over, and all other settings will be transferred. (Or copy/paste he [rts_joystick] section only, so the stick sensistivity settings are being transferred, but only try that if your control setup has not changed - ie you have not added, replaced, or removed any game controllers)
  17. Yeah, the setup of that site there is not really ideal... sometimes I'd like to call it Missed4Today (Just joking.. it's a fine resource...)
  18. That footage from the wingtip, where he's in a loop + half a roll with the sun behind the pilot/cockpit is... brilliant...
  19. Happy Birthdays guys!
  20. Happy Birthday!
  21. Testing 123, am I here?
  22. lol, no, I know it wasn't you!
  23. Darn... I'm to blame... gave some elevated rights to the wrong person I guess... sorry ...
  24. Hm, initially, I thought you could try that... but, have you seen the image in the manual, how to connect its power? You have to connect it straight to the battery (well, via a Fuse of course). Not to any other power 'source' in the car... I dunno... still highly doubt whether it would work...
