This thread and Nick's fiddlin' with masking tape yesterday has inspired me to pickup the work on the Swordfish again... ... and whilst doing that... yeah, you are right... Oh well ... Beautiful thing you've been creating there FF, makes me want to ... oh, never mind, I do not have the accuracy, nor the patience and tenacity to produce a result anywhere remotely like that!
  5. The only errors it could/should have repeatedly, are if you are on XP. Three files that are 'too large' to handle, they will show a 'Out of Memory error'...
  6. ChkMods will give you 7.02, even if it just states HSFX7. (It does not state 7.00 ) ChkMods will always give you the latest version ... that's its goal anyways...

  12. I do not think so... the order of the controllers is not related to their physical connection.... as far as I know. Adding a controller or removing one if it is not the last one in the list of game controllers will mess things up by altering one or more controllers' id's. It will recognize both, as long as you keep them both plugged in. It's all about how you assign them... Here's an idea, should you run into trouble by getting a re-assigned controller, send me a screenshot of the game controllers's view, and your settings.ini from the users\pilot folder, and I will try and re-program the file.... search and replace ...
  13. You can use multiple game controllers via a USB Hub, but it is not recommended to do so. Even if it is a powered Hub, there is a good chance you will run into some trouble at some moment in time... Try and combine other USB devices to free up USB ports, like keyboard and mouse... The Joystick1 and 2 in game setup are for having the option to create profiles, but solely for the sensitivity settings of the axes. Not for the assignment of buttons and axes. For that, you either create a new Pilot, or rename some .ini files or folders in the users folder...

  16. You are right Mick, any coop can be converted. Good idea! (I do recall having had thoughts about a tool that can do it... Read mission file, record Take off coords and plane types on there, and add a homebase at the t/o coords, with all them aircraft types available on it. Easy peasy. Well, yeah, no time, no energy. Plenty inspiration though! But, well, now you've read this Mick, you can be the perfect tool for that! ) Thanks Crash! That's exactly the stuff we are looking for!
  17. The current list of missions on the DF server is getting old and stale, and too familiar... So, looking for a new set of missions, nice DF missions, with plenty of AI in it, running for about 45 minutes each. Now I have not got the time nor energy nor inspiration to work on a new set of new missions... So, asking you all to come forward and look for and find good missions for the DF server! And, suggest some in this thread. List them here. That 4.3 patch added more in the atmospheric sense... meaning, on the way back to Manston, somewhere 'high' over Dover, I simply throttled back, steered towards Manston, gradually descending, and without looking at the altimeter, I was a able to just see and feel the correct descending approach... sure I kept an eye on the speedometer... One thing I now need to get a grip on are those last few feet, as I tend to let it sink from a few feet to high, bouncy bouncy...3x and + But to be up there, and look around, it now feels and looks if you really are up there at 10k feet... Well, I felt/saw it that way.... Clod is now brilliantly cool
  20. It is simple: as long as the aircraft or its remnants have not been found, as long as there's no proof of it landing/crashing, it is still flying...
