    Jabo go boom

Always been one of my favourites
  3. Just as an fyi, you can use the same utility just as easily change a beta back to stable as well👍
  4. You'll find it's the other way around.... Mirage F1 evolved from the British Fairy Delta, your 2000 is fully a cheese swillling garlic smelling machine!
  5. New Mirage F1-EE. Now even pointier, with new pointy thing on the front of it,
  6. Same as the stable give or take a few megs here or there if you install all your modules. Although to save space with my stable, I don't bother installing any of the other maps I've bought, as only need the caucuses to fly on the server. Maps take a lot of room.
  7. This is mainly directed at Chris and Mel who I was helping learn the F-16 last night, and is a continuation of where we were last night, in the next post in this thread I'll recap the Tpod stuff and write that up, but I wanted to go through why the bombs were most likely not dropping at the end of the night. In this post I have attached a mission and will post a video of me flying said mission, which is flying along a set of waypoints dropping laser guided bombs on a tank at each waypoint, as a practise mission. First up, we need to talk about symbology, and also probably the most important single thing, that the bomb will not drop if the flight path maker is not on the steering cue. To make life easier for yourself fly on altitude hold on your run in is good practise. I've labelled the ones of particular relevance on the initial approach, after the first steerpoint is selected, and the pod has been moved onto the tank. During the run in this symbology is going to go through a couple of changes. The time to target to start with is counting down to the time to ability to loft the bomb to increase range, a CCRP feature relating to dumb bombs, never tried with LGB's. At that point the counter reaches zero the symbology will change to this, Just carry on flying the steering cue. That symbology will then change to this, This is the important moment, and this counter is now counting down to bomb drop. The bomb drop cue is the little fat horizontal line across the steering cue line. At around 8 secs or so it will start descending, this is when you press and hold your trigger. As that line hits the flight path marker, the bomb will release. You will need to then put in some roll trim to compensate for the weapon being released of the jet. The counter will then reset again, this time, time to impact. At around 10 seconds you need to start lasing until impact. After the impact the laser will turn itself off after a short time after you stop holding it on. To move onto the next target you will need to do 2 things, go to the next steerpoint, and cursor zero. the shortcut for this is TMS down short twice. Rinse and repeat! Here is a the vid of me flying the linked mission, Any questions, fire away! As said at the start, in the next post I'll go over the Tpod stuff again and write it up👍 F16-C GBU practise mission.miz
  8. Yep, definitely tine to send it back.
  9. Here's the video I was talking about Mel,
  10. Anything by the fighter pilot podcast is always pretty good, must confess this one had slipped through my listening repertoire!
  11. Two seater 'multi' role carrier plane that can land on a boat, such as the Tomcat. Sleek, single seater, quick and can save the galaxy, that can't land on a boat, the Viper,
  12. Myself, Fen and Friar after cruising out to the boat and putting them down
  13. When I get back home later on I'll have a look in the t-45.
  14. The video i linked was for the A4E, not the T-45, that might be some of the problem
  15. Not that I know of. I could upload the zipfile somewhere..... Its 2 gigs.
  16. Yes, its needed. Any mods that are in the server mission are required by a user to join the server. I just looked at the size of the 4 mods in my mods folder (I have the Blackhawk as well, although not currently in the server mission so not needed) and it comes to 9 gigs unzipped, and 4.44 gigs zipped up for all 4. Can we host a file that size on here? link to the T-45 is here, VNAO T-45 Goshawk - Page 12 - DCS Mods - ED Forums
  17. Doesn't bother me at all. I do wonder if we should package up all 3 mods into one zip file/self installer through jsgme or something, so new users don't have to be walked through installing 3 mods just to join our server though. We could also add into it the Blackhawk, which is also a fantastic free mod. That would mean people could fly jets, props and Helio's all for free. EDIT, direct link to the Bronco BRONCO OV-10A (gumroad.com)
