I completely agree with Painless....[rant]but it's too late, in our attempt to honour and remember the cruelties and sacrifices, we made history nothing more then a "cheap" snack (video games - pc games - movies) Even my own kids....but...daddy has a 10 dvd collection with nothing but original footage, with all the horror, and it's a wake up call for them....[/rant] About the movie....correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there not only ONE red baron who flew red colours???......I saw 'bout 5 or 6 tri-planes in that trailer in red.....and, sorry for this too, but I don't think that a black pilot in the 1st WW is accurate as well....but I could be wrong The first black pilots I know of, flew in WW2, made up into a black squadron only (yeah, racial shiat) (they flew p-51's) escorting B-25's....they have the record of the least casualty's among themselves AND the bombers they escorted...There tail was in the colour red...check it out if ya don't believe me...there was even a "based on true events" movie made about them.......

An example of a great fight I recall was on a "Ardennes winter" map... Lotsa dd's - hh's playing... Painless and me winging eachother (in a spit, what else ...woot), keeping the P-47's clear of enemy's (Quazi) I can't remember which DD's where flying the 190's/109's attacking us... Anyway....Me and Painless where constantly switching wing, calling out where bogies where, and in the meantime kept an eye out to the teammates (I had to warn Quazi of an approaching 190) Painless downed 2 bogies, chasing a third, but had to break off, so I come swooping in....the chase went down to about 20 - 30 m above the deck, kept on the tail of the 190, Painless watching my six....and then, while the 190 was twirling to avoid a direct hit, I got him in the engine, and boom....the best adrenaline rush I had!! It was an outstanding game, good communications and teamwork!

Altough I find it a tad more challenging flying with the black icon to none, I've had teamplayers killing me that obviously didn't look twice wether or not I was on the other team...forgot which server it was...

Hehe.....the contract states that I should get a download of 15 mbps and 512 kbps upload...so it's pretty close huh?

I just saw that my setting is set to 5000 in the config file??....should I change it to 8000 or other figure??

Just upgraded my account...for 20 bucks more a month I now have a higher upload speed, at 15mb connection I hope this one is better?... Second test to the UK :D

What's the difference between 56k and ISDN, I was told the ISDN settings where the best?

Yer, I know....I can upgrade one more subscription to 20mb, but upload stays the same, so not really a reason for me to pay much more.... Maybe I should give em a call and ask for more upload speed??

Did some test myself.. Dutch connection test; => download 901,5 kbyt/sec upload 30,4 kbyt/sec connection 721,0 con/min Since I'm much online with you guys from the UK and US, I did some more tests with a UK based server, a random based US server, and 2 tests on the site BG posted...One with New York as host, the other with Chicago as host... Note that though the download speed varies, the upload is pretty much constant.... UK: Random US: You think my connections are good or great? New York based test: Chicago based test:

I'm still green with trackIR, but gonna try and answer anyway... Don't you normally add a profile in the TiR window?...you know, choose profile, new and then put the settings in there? Or are you speaking of adding it in the profiles like we do somethimes with IL2?...dunno if that is possible....srry for the no help :S

About the comm's thing Kling.......lately I experience a great deal of instability in TS, everyone is breaking up from time to time....not only on Quazi's TS, also the JO TS suffers from it...somethimes it kicks me for no apparent reason (had this last saturday on JO class, incl. Klinger I believe) I want to know if this is my connection-pc settings- or is it plainly a bug?

I'm very sorry to hear some folks didn't have a good night last coop.... Second mission was a "test" for me (to see if my pc could handle it), 'cause it was a mission that required good connections and pc's...played that particular mission a few times already, with only up to no more then 5 players, without lag-warping.... And all I can say is this.... These are the specs on my 5 month old pc; Powersource = Chieftec midi black 650 W CPU = AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Socker 939 Main = AMD - ASUS A8N-E Nforce4 ultra PCX S939 Ram = 2x DDR RAM 521 MB, PC400 - LFT = 1042 RAM!! VGA = Radeon X800Pro 256 MB HD = 200GB, 7200RPM, 8MB, 3Y, SER-ATA 8.5ms Now gentlemen, on top of that, and I just checked my internet settings, I'm on a 100,0 Mbps connection.... Again, my settings are on ISDN, and yes, I have excellent settings in game, got the VGA and the pc for it, so why not use it.... To my humble opinion, check your pc's, or check your settings...if someone from accross the ocean hosts, all Euro players have higher pings, vice versa is also true, I have seen warping on my pc, when I was not hosting, but playing on a server hosted accross the ocean...my point is this....for a very demanding game, one is always depending on good connections, which some off em go around the globe, to come back in next door sorta speaking.... Dial-up is a pain, yes, but it is the clients with lan-cable who suffer the lag in on-line gaming, lesser experienced by dial-up.... Not to flame, but the US is limping behind with connections, they are in the first fase of cable, while we in Europe are already upgrading to level 2, gentlemen, the true reason for lagging IMHO, is nothing BUT the connection...if the pipeline is full, no fast (er) pc that can do anything about it....*points finger at useless spamming going around the globe* The point about the radiochatter; Some games I have great communication with the rest of the team, which lead to adrenaline-pumping, breathtaking games for me... In respect to the non Joint-ops flyers, I kinda hold myself back from all the "A militari" chatter, just to not offend anyone, and second, to give the game a tad of joy, joke right and left, you know..... Communication is good, and can get very loud (especcially when Psycho joins in ) and I can't help it, but I like to add the "occasional fling", what I don't do, and don't approve, is the "story off my live" going on in middle off the battle or just before, so I cannot call out the position off the bogie nor the help needed....but hey, it's a game right?... and with real people...... The airstart was implemented on request, I want nothing more then groundstarts....
