  6. for me friday or saturday starts @ 2 or 3pm EST (7 or 8pm gmt) are best. Would do a sunday if was most popular but would request a 7:00pm GMT start
  7. how about "friors folly" perhaps i could "bless" it for you? "all water has been passed by the management"

  9. ok, sorted it (i think) i had shut the computer down for the night, was just having a last pee before bed, enjoying the solitude, the companionship....when it suddenly came to me. and iirc...there is a setting that traps the key, locks it from other applications. i must have had that ticked. will have a look when i get home tonight. many thanks for looking roger.
  10. sorry that was a new profile, still the same?
  11. humor me please...., go into one of the profiles, select the general tab and try and type in a description for the profile. try typing a word with an "a" or "e" i just have and the "a" and "e" does'nt work, and then does not work in microsoft word. re-boot, go back into word and they work again. wierd or what...or is it just me?
  12. my only reservation with limited icons is that did it not get brouhgt up when we had that really busy sunday night and a consensus of opions felt that a lower graphics setting would help the lag and stutters, well, is that not going to make plane id difficult?
  13. im good to go...looking forward to it as always S!
  14. actually, this wednesday would be good for me as i am still on holiday and would not have to go to work the next day!
  15. i had a really great time on friday. although it was a long day for, i'm glad i stayed till the end. well done glen again. on the subject of a re-run. i'm all for it, i'd stay blue. as to the timings, a friday or saturday would be better for me (and i would also think the other uk guys) as when we finish it is getting on for 1:00am and i could not really do that on a work day.
  16. yes, but at home i dont have a free bar, a swimming pool or (hopefully) a warm sea to take a dip in! I hope to be able to join in with Glenn's big mission on the 4th. I'll go blue so keep me in on the updates please.
  17. A previously unknown cut scene from the Disney classic "Mary Poppins" has just been discovered. It was cut from the original motion picture as it thought that some of the language used was not suitable for the target audience. Scene 4 - "It 'aint fair Mary Poppins" Bert and Mary sitting on a smokey roof top. Bert's face slightly smudged with soot. Bert: It 'aint bleedin fair Mary Poppins Mary: Why Bert whats wrong? Bert: I goes and gets rid of me second joystick, a lov'ly fing she waz, and then spend flippin' ages sorting out the key mappings so's I gets it just right. Then I goes and buys trackir, again I spends me time getting it jusssst right, me wife finks me piles are back i waz fidgitin' about on me chair so much. Mary: Wipes small tear from Bert's eye, smuding the soot even more. Bert: Then I have a touch of luck and land me self a 5 speaker surround sound system and gets a beautiful noise from me 109 cannons..(gazes up to sky with whistful look)....and now I'm off on soddin hollyday, it aint fair Mary Poppins. Enter stage left group of dancers for song and dance routine.
  18. having praised dell on their prompt service, i thought it only fair to let everone know that they they are so good, they have sent another set of speakers out. we have phoned them and tried to get them to take them back. fine they said, send them back, not likly we said, you come and fetch them we said. cant do that they said, so keep them they said!
  19. yes, i used a standard 3 pin uk plug and wired the live and neutral.
  20. who has'nt posted here yet?, who face is ready to launch a thousand quips....is it you?
  21. a chap i help out has just got a new dell computer. he ordered surround sound as an extra. the computer arrived fine but they sent him a european plug version of the sound system. he was getting nowhere with dell so i called them on his behalf. to their credit dell sent out a complete uk sound system to me no probllem and did not want the wrong one back. i installed it for him last night. i then took the euro one off his hands for him, cut off the plug, re wired it and now i have surround sound !!!!!!! ....unless someone with electrical knowledege is going to tell me that i have done something wrong?
  22. saw it on youtube.com when looking for il2 videos. i thought it had a good story and used some very clever editing (e.g men running TOWARDS their planes to scramble (they must of bailed out from a plane out of shot, and the scene ended before they dived, clever eh?) the music that went with it was good as well.
  23. its the studying of these books, it is affecting my eye sight. I read them for the Nun's Editorials on Page 3
  24. i shoul have said this in my previous post, but i must have had my head burried in my scriptures, what film are we taliking about?
