if i replace the cpu (as Quazi has suggested I could and could) does this cause any licence complications with microshaft? having a dell i do not have a full blown xp cd, so would not like to attempt a re-format

i am doing a correspondance course on tv presenting, is that any good?

my machine is a dell dimension 4500 processor is intel p4 2.53ghz with 1gb memory (2 x 512) which is maximum. any pointers/advice welcome. p.s budget is very tight (unless i re-direct the funds i have earmarked for an x52) if i drop the x52 (which i am not that keen to do) i could go to £90 but only if i am going to get a BIG difference, otherwise i am looking at about 60-70 absolute max. if nothing is in my range i would rather save the money in pot for future use!

on a normal uk insurance policy the "excess" is the amount you commit to pay should you have an accident. some policys are cheaper if you have a higher excess. i think it is to save the hire company having to go through their insurance because anything less than £500 you would have to pay, it would only be for values over that would the insurance company get involved. the route from heathrow to duxford is quite easy as far as roads, but it would mean you driving on the London Orbital or M25. Psycho, have you looked into the logistics of getting from London to Duxford at all? How do you plan to travel by Car or Train?

those going so far confirmed.... arriving friday and staying at the Red Lion in Duxford until Monday - BG, Doubletap and Painless. arriving saturday morning and staying the night - Frior (must drive home sunday at some point) going to the air show on Saturday - BG, Doubletap, Painless, Frior, B16ENK, Klinger unconfirmed as attending are Fotoflyer (plus caravan) and BBloke (minus flock) there is also a rumour that Jensen Park was comming but that still has to be confirmed.

i have just finished watching it. the story has been presented brilliantly and pulled me right in, as mobius says, it is a credit to the film makers that it generates such emotions.
