  1. I have an X-45, but this will likely apply no matter what you fly with. On the left; White Lithium Grease. This is an automotive product. Not only does it say right on the label that it is safe for plastic, including nylon but if you have ever taken the trouble to open up the base section of the X-45, you may already have noticed that Saitek themselves used it to grease up their own mechanism (at least on the inside). So far I have lube up the underside of the disk just below the spring on the handle. I put some on my finger, pried up the disc and spread it all around. Not lots! Just enough to grease up the action on the underside of the disc. Works great! The second product on the right; MG Chemicals Electrosolve Contact Cleaner Zero Residue. If you ever have an iffy switch, or a potentiometer that you think is going all funny (spiking etc). Just open up the joystick and spray this stuff all over it like it were WD-40. Also works great. Each of the items are about five bucks. Might save you a lot if you think you need to buy a new stick.
  2. Great video! I'm a Veteran 8 months! HAHAHAHAHA!!! I did something like that for two years for a software company. At the end of the two years I was managing a department of 8 guys!
  3. Very interested in that book Drinksky! I am a Radar nutcase these days.
  4. That fourth pic has me thinking how tiresome it will be to climb to that altitude in WW1 planes. I wonder how valuable altitude will be with power margins far poorer than we are used to. I wonder if it will be worth the time it takes to get up there. I hope fuel endurance is modelled properly to functionally limit the flight times to near historical times, so that at least this will limit those who seek seek unrealistically high altitudes.
  5. Thank you benevolent Father. I did not think you would for a moment.
  6. Re PBNA If you are friendly with Boosher - he would make a good addition to out merry band.
  7. This would be nice! I certainly like the conventional plane aspect of this version. But then I think I would like a two seater so that I can scare the Muissus silly! I know what I can do with a car to scare her. But really think what I could do with an extra dimension. And I certainly like the float aspect as I live in a coastal city. This is gratuitous to be sure. This is for Enforcer. Keep up the good work!
  8. I don't remember but I am sure it was Horrid. I do remember an early time with CFS1 and the squad I flew with was having a match against another group. I was in the FW took a real long shot at an enemy plane. It was so far away that I couldn't tell what happened. Later on I learned that it took the wing of the plane. Pure fantasy thanks to MS. Pure fluke. Yet strangely satisfying, just the same.
  9. Hey Pee Wee Herman too. Happens to the best of us. Don't be embarrassed. "I'm not looking at you with the eyes of a man. I am looking at you the same way as your reflection in a pool of water, or a mirror looks at you. I am an artist Dear."
  10. Thanks Knutsac ... Wrong Stuff sounds like my cup of Tea. I have Starboard seat, that man is too honest! Also have read Nanette .... you have good taste in books. I am reading the Radio Operator and Information File - here's the cover and some pages. (Once a geek! Always a geek!)
  11. This really cool thread is going to turn all fookin' gay any minute.

  15. Will do ... yousendit ok? http://download.yousendit.com/7B4239F037F5A49B Oh and Drinksky no need to send anything back. My interests have gone right off the deepend lately. About all I am interested in getting are hardcore books on the Radar and radios of the period.
  16. I am a hack woodworker. I collect tools, never have enough. Next on the list are planer, biscuit cutter, maybe a jointer. A TV stand thingy, made from salvaged wood. (used to be a palette.) Some bookshelves, can never have too many! A modest little oak cupboard in the laundry room. (This was taken before I had added some finishing touches.) As for cars, I am also lucky to own a 1968 Mustang, though I sadly have not driven her in two years!
  17. I think if you delete them you will just end up downloading them all over again. There is nothing wrong in that, except that it will slow you and perhaps the game down for all for a few moments. Wipe 'em out if you want.
  18. We shall all have to gang up on you online when next we meet, and smite you with ammo! Happy Birthday.
  19. Amazing Roger to the rescue! HP what a bunch of fools!
