All I dont know what the situation is with everyone but I hope we all have 46 i.e. 4.07m or are getting it soon. there is a new official patch for this out now 4.08m -this is the final patch for the game. I propose we all move to 4.08m ASAP If there is real problems with anyone getting 46 DVD then we could have 4.05m as a backup and only use these 2 versions.

havnt used these mate, heard mixed reports about earlier ones. I did use omega optimised drivers for a while but have found that the ati latest are good enough to stop me going back to these types. If you are interested then omega are here http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati/win2k_xp.php. you need to use atitraytools with these. If I remember rightly this was bundled with the drivers. The install takes a long time. I remember thinking my system ha hung once and was going to reboot but left it to get on with the install and it did. hope this helps

Pooka the book is better laid out with a few more details on what he is discussing, there are not more pictures or illustrations, but they are clearer.

when not flying with the dogz you can usually find me on warclouds at all kinds of funny times. UKded are thinking of launching a closed pit server so Ill try that out for a while if they launch it.

I was just wondering what the views were on the latest patch? I have only tried out a limited planeset so was wondering what others felt about their fav rides. I think it has balanced things up quite a bit - the fw has improved and so has the 109 while the spit has been toned down a bit. I used to feel really safe in a spit on warclouds but my record recently has been poor. The p47 and p-51 seem better too. I think the 50cals have been improved and also the fws hitting power, but Im not sure about spits. My only grump, and youve got to have one

I have got all my equipement ant paint and stuff - any tips before I start ? how do you paint the cockpit bars ?? Painless help

ok getting a handle on this - the janesoft mod switcher works well. you basically set up a mods folder using janesoft switcher, and within this create seperate folders for each mod e.g. BOE OESTFRONT etc 1) BOE wont install into a folder unless it sees il2fb.exe so copy this from your 46 folder into the folder you want to install BOE into and then it installs fine. 2) install all addons into their own folder within the mods folder and not into 46 main folder 3) the only things that conflict with any addons are the dgen and dgen folder so you can copy the missions, paintschemes etc from the addon into your main folder 4) this will leave you with 4 items in each add on folder; dgen.exe ngen.exe dgen folder and ngen folder 5) the mod switcher copies these into the main folder to allow you to play then switches it out when you dont want to use the mod and returns the default items 6) you will need to add the new dgen and dgen folder items from ian boys available from simhq forums to play some of the new campaign and maps like burma 7) there is a multipatch for boe - if you use this then dont use any of the files apart from the 4 listed above or it will screw up your install as happened to me. hope this makes sense dave

thanks mate- installed now - initial impression is good , IQ very good but no real increase in fps but I dont think I will get this due to my processor - maybe those with faster machines will see improvement
