PropNut Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I mentioned this to the guys during our game last night and so thought I would post it on the forum as anyone who enjoys RoF would really get a kick out of seeing dozens of full scale World War One planes in flight and hundrends of scale R/C World War One planes in flight as well. Not only will there be planes of all discriptions, from every beligerent, there will be antique automobile clubs in attendence, vendors with all types of historical items for sale, re-enactors showing what it was like in various situations during the Great War. The last time I was there they had a full front line hospital in operation treating wounded. The full scale planes had a bombing contest that was excellent and exciting. Original aircraft as well as reproductions, original engines on reproduction aircraft, some not so well reproduced and some perfectly reproduced to every stitch. And of course the museum itself is open to the public. The event is being held Sept 23-25 2011 at the National Museum of the Air Force in Dayton Ohio. edit: A link might help http://www.nationalmuseum.af.mil/wwi.asp Quote
