T_O_A_D Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Yeh I remember when it was first located, and then hushed, till funding arrangements to retrieve it were made. I guess that's all in the works now. Quote
Jediteo Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 I saw this in flypast a while back, interesting. Kinda makes you think what treasures that lay hidden in the earth. All that is gold does not glitter as Tolkien would put it. I tried coming up with a clever joke about welch people, but was unable. Quote
BadAim Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I sure hope they can preserve her. From my understanding she's a rare F model, like "Glacier Girl" though I hold little hope that she is as well preserved. As for the comments on the original web site: I hold that there are twits every where, the majority of us understand that brave men stand up to protect what they believe in every day, and they should get at least a bit of respect, especially between those of us who traditionally stand together as allies. I give a salute to those who would stand firm for freedom, no matter the cost to themselves, no matter where they call home. Quote
Zooly Posted May 10, 2010 Posted May 10, 2010 I thought the war memorial status was only bestowed upon fatal crashes where the crew died and weren't recovered, I could be wrong though. Quote
