Blairgowrie Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 After 5 years, my wife finally finished a leaded glass piece for our master bedroom. Yours truly was asked to install it and promptly drove a nail through the double pained window breaking the air seal and cracking the inside glass. Nice effect don't you think? Quote
Arsenal Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Wow, that's beautiful work (your wife's, not yours). I can imagine you've been beating yourself up pretty thuroughly over this, but accidents do happen. I'm sure you feel all better, now that I've provided you with this wisdom! Quote
JensenPark Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 after messing up so bad, I'm sure BG is going to have to do alot of 'beating himself' up. Quote
Sloan Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 honestly I can't see whats wrong with it? is it the feathered texture that wasn't there before? if so, i like it this way too! Quote
JensenPark Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 You know, Arsenal: I just have to laugh/gag every time I see your avatar. Poor old sam...can you imagine the looks he got when getting taken out for walks? I think we should make him the Patron Saint of the DD's. Quote
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted March 6, 2006 1. DDz Quorum Posted March 6, 2006 Wow Weasel has done some great work there BG So why did you think it needed nailing again? Quote
JensenPark Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 You know...that's a good point. I checked every window in my house and I didn't see a single one nailed in. Is this some new-fangled way of doing things BG? Quote
Blairgowrie Posted March 6, 2006 Author Posted March 6, 2006 If you look closely you will see the leaded glass is held by some trim (that I carefully made in my workshop). I had to nail the trim to the frame and misjudged where the window started. Helen thought I did a cracking job on the installation. Quote
