Rattler Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 That was sweet! Dig the climbing roll - that took balls! What's the max roll angle on a commercial jet, CapnJ? (with or without pax) Quote
2. Administrators Jabo Posted January 27, 2010 2. Administrators Posted January 27, 2010 Don't know how far that wingtip was from the ground, but that could have been expensive. Quote
Sweper Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 Impressive! This pilot was suspended from flying due to almost nocking the heads of some paratroupers. Swedish airforce goes low showing off.. Quote
Rattler Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 There used to be an airborne infantry training center on the base where I trained. Quote
CaptJackG Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 Nice flyby. Roll limits...we get an aural warning "bank angle" when we exceed 35 degrees in flight and in landing configuration near the ground we get the call at 7 degrees because you will hit an engine pod exceeding that limit landing. In reality you could roll a 74 as long as you keep 1 positive g on the aircraft. If you exceeded that in a roll you'll probally sling the engine pods off the aircraft. Tex Johnson rolled a 707 when demo'ing the ac when it was new. Quote
