Snack's d/f stuff

Hey gents:

I get the old mission crash when trying Snacko's new d/f missions (Korea)

gets to around 90% then I get that goofy message about not have russian paratroops...and then 'sim not loaded'

any ideas?

In IL2 setup.exe turn on S3TC compresion and TexCompress=2 see if that helps

done that.

had been experiencing the same trouble with Cannon's UK map...that was supposed to be the solution and it didn't work.

On the Korean maps I get to 90% before that stupid message.

I got that as well on other missions when I first started using UP or HSFX.

very bizarre.

was able to load the midway map and one of the slovakia maps.

the Korean, which previously game me the russian paratrooper line, now crash the game.

then I went in again and none of the maps load.

ugh.

I wonder if this isn't an OS-related issue? I was experiencing the occasional crash running/hosting co-ops since I got my new rig, but since I started using the 00_6DOF_Tracker_4GbVersion.exe I haven't experienced any of these problems. I'm using Windows 7 64bit. (Obviously this doesn't work with 32bit and/or less than 4Gb RAM)

I don't use S3TC either - I use maxed-out Perfect settings - even on the CanonUK map or Korea. I ascribe my success to the Tracker.exe.

i get game crashing when using 1GB memory mod.

sometimes just graphic get's distorted few minutes in flight (land and strips disappear but buildings are still in place) and sometimes it stops loading @90% with Russian paratroopers error.
