Glen Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I'm running Vista 64-bit and was wondering if anyone else is. Quote
gec Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Hi Foto and welcome back. your IL2 is probably installed in Program Files x86 (or something like that) folder. the best thing here would be to copy (not move!) whole IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 folder from mentioned Program Files folder to the root of drive C:. after u have done that run the update and point it to that new copy of the game. also ones u copied the game from Program files to root of the C: you can go to control panell and uninstall the original game. off course your copy of the game is the one that u'll run from now on. ones the copy is updated to 4.09m i would recommend to make one more copy of that updated copy and put it somewhere safe. so u always have a clean 4.09m if u screw something up while installing all the fekin mods Quote
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted December 16, 2009 1. DDz Quorum Posted December 16, 2009 Your path to IL2 is probably (like gec says): c:\program files\ubi soft\il2 sturmovik\ I would create a new folder in the root of C called IL2, then copy the contents of c:\program files\ubi soft\il2 sturmovik\ into it. That way it is simple to patch and you won't run into the Vista permissions issues. Quote
Glen Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Spot on advice as usual. Am now running IL2 again! Will be online tomorrow night. Don't be afraid though, I never was much good! See you all soon! Foto Quote
