Sweper Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 ~S~ If somebody is intrested in Swedish military aviation take a look here! Lots of picuters and the story behind each aircraft. (In English). Swep Quote
Rattler Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Thanks Sweper. I've always liked SAAB planes. You people sure know how to build a nice jet. Quote
Jediteo Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 My father worked on the J35 Draken in the 70's, used to tell my quite some stories, such as pilots using their landing gear to make tracks on the hangars, but also some less then jovial stories. Quote
Ovy Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 I had the privilege to seat in the cockpit of a Gripen and to admire the demo flight of the test pilot . Not only it is (probably) the only aircraft i saw backing up ( sorry - in reverse!) but it is also extremely versatile and unsurpassed in maintenance short time - to my knowledge. There's a big issue over here about what Romanian Air Force should buy - Gripen or F-16. Quote
T_O_A_D Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Does this one look constipated in this picture. LOL http://www.avrosys.nu/aircraft/Jakt/112J21.htm Quote
Jediteo Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Ahh the J21, wonderful aircraft, the J21R was the jet version, they just replaced the pusherprop with a jet. Dad said its quite a strange aircraft to work on, they had one in the 70's for practice. Quote
