Awesome book, and the movie looks like it will do it justice. Finally get to see some Corsair action! Can't wait to see this one and Letters from Iwo Jima.

Been waiting for this. First time I've seen the trailer. Looks really top-shelf and should be, with Squinty Clint at the helm.

Not sure if I mentioned this before, the Navy Corpsman, John Bradley who helped raise the flag and whos son wrote the book is from my small town (8,000) Antigo, Wisc. I enlisted with his oldest son, Steve in the Marines in '67.

The author of the book, James comes back to town every so often to visit, if anyone would like an autographed copy of the book, let me know. I'll buy it and you can pay me when recieved. John gave me a couple autographed pictures before he passed away, I never asked for them but they sure mean a lot to me now.

The locals were hoping they film part of the movie where he comes back to Antigo, but they shot that part in small small town near Chicago, we all missed our chance to see Clint in person.

Most definately for me as well. I've read Flags and Flyboys, both of which are excellent. A signed copy of either one or both would make my day!
