Cant re-install 1946

I wanted to re-install 1946 to start the migration to 4.09m again so I deleted the contets of the folder.

Now when I try in install from the cd again the install option is not available.grrrrrrrr

Does anyone know how to sort this (uninstall fails to work now as well....)

in the game dvd there is a filed called a, this is the setup file.

try opening the cd and run a.exe file.

also do not forget to install 4.08m update prior updating to 4.09m

I had to get the Windows cleanup install utility Colin. You can get it here.

It will remove Il2.

Deleting the folder still leaves stuff all over the place, Application data in the documents, registry and such.

Always do a proper uninstall from the control panel at least.

IL2 does not put anything in the application data folder..

What it does do is create an install record in c:\program files\InstallShield Installation Information\ - and it is this that the installer looks to and will blank out the 'Install' option if it finds a record of a previous install there.

The installer clean up utility Jim posted above will cure this, but use with care
