check what resolution was on you newer computer and put the same one on to old one. also make sure that refresh rate is 60 Hz.

ive got an old comp rigged up to my lcd, but i use the old analoge vga plug and then go into the tv setting and set it to auto res and it picks up the comp, thats with an LG but i think sony are the same, what make is yours?

I ended up doing a reformat on the computer (call me Quazi!)

that did the trick...appears to have been more of a windows issue than computer or TV
