Perfesser Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 I download the file again and burned another disk in the manner that Jabo suggested. As well, I burned the disk at 4x instead of the max speed and stayed off the computer. For the first time a message was on the screen at the end that "the contents of this disk are incompatible with your OS"(XP). I'm taking that as a good sign and I'll spin it up when I get the chance. Sounds about right Perf. Looking forward to seeing how you get on Quote
T_O_A_D Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Howdy guys I'm just now back up and running. I decided to do this Monday, and also install Ubuntu a Linnix Quote
Zooly Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 IIRC in device manager use the update driver option on the hardware tab (or is that the other way around?) and win 7 will find what you need (hopefully) Quote
2. Administrators Jabo Posted August 20, 2009 2. Administrators Posted August 20, 2009 Or you could try the Vista drivers. My Win 7 install uses the Vista drivers for my Linksys WMP300N NIC and works perfectly. Jabo Quote
T_O_A_D Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I installed Win 32 bit, Vista is 64 correct? If so that might be my problem. I'm going to try the 64 bit Win 7 next I guess. Quote
gec Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 both vista and win 7 have 32bit versions too. Quote
Perfesser Posted August 21, 2009 Author Posted August 21, 2009 I saw a post for drivers. Try the Vista 64 bit ones for Win 7 64 bit. All the trouble I had was no more than a corrupt download. Win7 installed perfectly. Quote

Perfesser Posted August 21, 2009 Author Posted August 21, 2009 Special thanks to all who followed the thread and helped out with the problems. ~S~ Quote
T_O_A_D Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Yeh I tried my 64 bit one, it appears I got a bad dl on it. So I'm stuck since it the Dl link is gone now. Or I torrent one of the hacks. Quote
Perfesser Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 I have the download, why can't I send you the file somehow? Or send you a DVD in the mail? Can you get an authentication code is the question? Quote
gec Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 i think that one auth code is good for up to 5 installs. Quote
T_O_A_D Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 I've got the code from my download. I don't know if the dogs server supports such a large file though. You can try if not, I can send ya my snail mail. Thanks Quote
Perfesser Posted August 23, 2009 Author Posted August 23, 2009 I can't seem to put it in the vault. Mail me your address and I'll send you the DVD. Quote
1. DDz Quorum B16Enk Posted August 24, 2009 1. DDz Quorum Posted August 24, 2009 I can't seem to put it in the vault. Mail me your address and I'll send you the DVD. At nearly 3Gb it will take an age to upload, and require the use of an FTP client... Quote
