You could download cpu-z. It will tell you what DDR2 you have.

Mine is PC2-6400 DDR2-800 and I just got more to match. You can get faster but it will all run at the speed of the slowest you have installed.

Another thing to bear in mind is that under no circumstances should you mix memory types within a channel - that approach leads rapidly to the way of the pear. Obtain your memory in twos (if your board is dual-channel), or threes (if it's triple channel) and you're less likely to have problems.

Smash. I am going to mark you on your spelling and it won't be good.

Oh no the school must be getting to my brain

There is no question about OT's good intentions but i think the shipping from England will probably cost u more then the RAM. Memory is cheap today DVD's also.

Proc is one thing that could make a difference.

Gec,

Are you sure? If OT wraps up the RAM well and sticks it in a tiny parcel and labels it SMALL PACKAGE and writes on the declaration sticker that it's a 'toy' worth $2, I'm sure postage/shipping won't be more than a few quid and he'll bypass customs.

No?

Last time I checked, postage was about £5GBP; I can cope with that if it assists the (ahem) younger DD members, and I don't want anything extra for the RAM.
