JensenPark Posted August 1, 2006 Posted August 1, 2006 Allow me to introduce the newest member of our pack: Halifax aka Halibag aka Hali While we will never replace the great, late Doonesbury, VC (Victoria Canine) we hope Halifax will find a good home with us. Hali, who is part Shepherd, lab, collie and greyhound (we think) was a rescue dog (confiscated from it's rightful owner in the grand tradition of the Soviet Central Planning). Pretty skittish right now (won't come near me - so has some common sense) as apparently she was quite abused. Her name inspired of course by the Handley Page Halifax: I first met BG at the Halifax restoration in Trenton - so thought it appropriate we name a rescue after kind of another 'rescue' : http://www.airforce.forces.gc.ca/news/2005/11/09_e.asp More info on the great Halibag: http://www.constable.ca/halifax.htm Quote

Lone wolf/idiot Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 i would send you a pick of my dangerdog friend ecept she is locked out for opening the oven for the hundreth time. yes my evil lab can open ovens, doors, presents. we have to keep presents away from her because she will eat anything in a box. fyi don't by a lab they are nice and fuzy but if you do not train them they will be fatter than a seal. this is my dog Quote
Tonar Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 way to go, I have been finding myself driving by the rescues recently. I just want to end up taking all of the dogs home. Quote
