Blairgowrie Posted March 1, 2009 Posted March 1, 2009 I saw this on a Forestry Forum I visit now and again and thought it was interesting enough to post here. I know Bucky will enjoy it. Quote
DD_Bucky Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Thanks for posting this BG. That is great archival footage.I could spend the whole nite commenting on this. There's so many different jobs/levels to the logging industry...but all just as important. A lot of the techniques shown in this video are still done today,..just modernized...I could go on and on,but maybe later. One thing though,...so much expertise/techniuqe those tree climbers had.Not to mention endurance. Those guys would spend all day up a tree. Quote
Blairgowrie Posted March 2, 2009 Author Posted March 2, 2009 Glad you enjoyed it Bucky. I thought you might. Some of that old equipment is quite fascinating. Quote
BadAim Posted March 2, 2009 Posted March 2, 2009 Kinda makes Sisyphus work seem simple. :k9lmao: As tough as loggers and others in such professions are today, those guy's were forged of a different kind of steel. Quote
