OK I have started to rebuild my game system. after two+ years in storage the Game computer is weaker then my laptop. so my first purchase will be a monitor . replacing the 16" CRT with a flat pannel

Hi Cuda,

if you have the graphics power to run at higher resolutions with 4X AA and AF; a 24" will knock your socks off coming from a 16" CRT! I wouldn't worry about "blockiness".

I went for a 25.5 inch ViewSonic and I'm glad I did- with TIR it's a real immersion booster.

You'll want to look for a high refresh rate (5 ms and lower is good)... there's a useful website:
