wireless router etc - recommendations?

I plan to get a wireless router for my son to allow him to access the net from his computer - any recommendations on hardware? - its an old house but his pc is almost directly above mine where the telephone line is.

I can't fault my Linksys router although I did have to butcher the firmware to a very well coded non-standard linux variant to get the most out of BitTorrents.

i would go with netgear. i have one and recently installed one for a friend. plugged in, configured and connected, easy.

thanks for the help - I applied and got a free netgear from virgin.net so Im using this - waiting o the usb drongle for the pc upstairs to see if itll work , but installed and is working good on main pc , and got wii to work and its in a different room
