With no hotfix patch drop today, we're going to assume that there won't be one this week.

As such I will provide a modded weapons.lua file on Friday evening, with instructions as to where you will need to install it.

As promised, the modded The modded Weapons.lua most brilliantly researched and provided by No.19 MJDixon will also be required to partake in the event.

To install:

Find your original Weapons.lua file in the core DCS folders:
Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\CoreMods\WWII Units\Weapons
Copy this file and save it in a separate part of your computer
Now drop the Weapons.lua attached to this post in the Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\CoreMods\WWII Units\Weapons folder.

Voila!

Note: we recommend that if you like to play on other public Multiplayer servers that you do not make this change until just before the event as it will likely fail integrity checks and prevent you from joining those other servers.

When the event is complete you can either run a repair or (much quicker) just replace the original you copied out back into the aforementioned folder and overwrite the mod.

We did the .lua file and the 4 of us (Wing, Zukker, Sherrif and myself) have been practicing together hoping to fly as a flight.

Dress rehearsal tonight for the big show tomorrow.

Curious about loadout (external bombs?) fuel load and F10 map settings(own plane visible?)

I used the original map and broke it into 2 sections, enlarged the headings and added elapsed times, one from takeoff and another timer from the French coast. England transit is at 2450rpm and around 6 boost. France times, 2600rpm and 8 boost.

NOTE: When I flew it a couple of headings didn't work well. Originals are there with a line through with the corrected (suggested) heading having a question mark.

If you can use a map they are here. Wingflyer is trying to convert them for use on the DCS kneeboard but we aren't sure they'll be ready in time.

Would you all be available next Sunday the 1st of March to have a retry?

We are hoping ED might post a hotfix this coming week, and even if they don't, Dixon at no.19 Sqn has developed a work around he is prepared to distribute to any would be participants; it would require replacing a weapons lua in your Core DCS directory but as long as you backup the original and replace it as soon as the event is over, it should not compromise your wider DCS multiplayer accessibilty.

I just tested (Feb 28, 4:00 pm Pacific time) similar attack mission on Armien prison with the modified weapon lua. I got no explosion where I dropped my bomb but massive fires nearby. Just my observations.
