Uninstalling/reinstalling DCS

Hi chaps

Apologies if there is a thread for this but can you advise what folders to back up and where they are please. I want to uninstall and reinstall on a different drive and save control settings etc.

I guess it would be the controllers (which is in the "Config" directory) and skins?

Others with more tech savvy knowledge should hopefully chime in.

Hi Sid,

Everything in your dcs saved games folder is your personal settings for dcs, usally found here,

C:\Users\kevin\Saved Games\DCS

If you make a back up of that, reninstall dcs on your new drive, and then copy that over the new saved games dcs folder the fresh instal will create, will have all your settings.

Thanks chaps  I am getting a minimum 2TB hard drive to run DCS from. With aircraft and all the maps I am struggling with a 500GB
