From what I have seen of Graphics cards and prices and considering the X1950 is becoming a hard to come by card from new.

yep - basically what bloke said - one thing to add is that ati are developing drivers for their newer cards and these havnt been very good for 850/1950 range but see klingers thread so if you think that you might buy other games or that BOB will be optimised for newer cats then Id streatch to 3850

You got that call right Klinger, Info Overload !!!!!

Just when I think the 1950 is the way to go, I start seeing the 3850/3870s..

very confussing.

In Toms Hardware, it rated cards and said go for 3 level increase, so with an X850XT I need

to jump to at least 1950XT or XTX, 3850/3870, HD2900XT/Pro.

I'll follow Quazi's thread and see what that brings, another riddle, why are the X850XTs

still selling at such a high price?

I think because they are a good card. I have an X800 and I have no complaints. is it one of the last cards still built as AGP also?

Pook,

I can VNC if you wish, not a problem.. I'll be soft and gentle and we can talk about getting intimiate on TS... with your machine that is.

Quazi emailed me a link of a 3850 with some very high clock speeds and a very nice price.. knowing Quazi just a little I know he wouldn't settle for anything less than top spec!

Klinger is right.. take your time and post up for some feedback.

Pook,

I am beginning to think you might have a corrupt driver install. I know you have installed several of the cat drivers over time. Each time you did it, did you run Driver Cleaner Pro?
