delta7 Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 usually in xp if you get the blue screen the machine will reboot automatically and you wont have time to read the error, however the message is written to a file and you can read this with a free microsoft tool - anyway this article tells you how http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35246 you can then use the information to identify the problem and try to fix it Quote
Rattler Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 You can also set your computer to not automatically reboot; In forget exactly how right now, but I think that it's a BIOS setting. Quote
BBloke Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Here's how to stop the reboot. Right Click your My Computer icon on your desktop and click Properties. Click the Advanced Tab Click Settings under Startup and recovery. Uncheck the Automatically Restart checkbox. Quote
