Of course I didn't take it wrong Birdy, I knew you were subtly sniping at me for not supplying a driver CD, Screw Driver, 20 something Blonde Nymphomaniac and....er well...you don't really want more do you?

Those drivers should do the job for you nicely, make sure you un-install the old ones first of course.

I think BBloke said not to disable services from your System Configuration Utility (msconfig).

But you can certainly kill your unneeded startup programs from there.

Shortcut to services:

start->run->services.msc

That will bring up the services control directly, could be added to a batch file too.

They stick.

'Disabled' means they can never run.

'Manual' means that if another process needs them they will be started, or you can start them manually.

'Automatic' means they will always attempt to start, they will fail if they depend on another service that has been disabled.

Got the replacement card in yet?

Not put it in yet as I'm having a few problems sorting out uninstall old drivers and not sure what new ones to download from the link you gave me and as I was trying to go through Pilot ground school In Joint_Ops, on Sunday jusy gone, I didn't want to screw anything up, I am not confident in my compurter skills enough yet but will attempt it after PGS this Sunday

Just to make things easier.

Once you kill all your start up programs, it can be a real PITA to find them without having to slap shortcuts all over your desktop.

So take the time to find the .exe files for each one.
