I can connect to the forum directly just fine, but if I'm at the website and hit the forum link I get timed out

Indeed that is a problem, well spotted!

It would appear the Search Engine Optimisation has got it's knickers in a twist, it is a hard coded link to the correct address, but is being re-written on the fly...I'll get my bug hammer out and see if I can beat it into submission.

Tested by:

Logging into forum directly, sends me to web site home page (bug) but I can return to the forums and all appears to work well there.

Logging into the web site homepage works, forum link works all appears to be OK.
