Lancaster Bomber

On a beautiful warm sunny day with a clear blue sky I have just had my first ever view of a Lancaster Bomber.

It is the Biggin Hill Air show this weekend and as I live not far from it we often get planes come over when they are either in a holding pattern or forming up ready to go back down the display line.

We all heard this rumble and guested it must be something comming over and rushed outside, then there it appeared, right over the top of my house and not that high either. WOW.

There's one still flying from Hamilton, Ontario.

I hear it at least once a summer... glorious and unmistakeable! I'm always running to the nearest window when I hear it
