JensenPark Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 upgraded to a ATI x1600 pro - 512mb after my 9800 fried due to a lousy fan. ordered the Medusa headphones that BG recommended (and I think Roger has?) Now I'll be able to hear you coming to kill me and watch my plane go down in flames in even better clarity. Quote

Quazi Posted April 14, 2006 Posted April 14, 2006 Even if it is so Kel, heat is a card killer. These factory heatsink are barely capable of properly cooling a video card. Every card I have ever owned had the factory heatsink replaced with a better one as soon as I could afford to pick one up. The only exception I have found lately is the coolers that come on the X850's. If I wasn't watercooling, I would continue to use its' heatsink rather than replacing it with an aftermarket one.
