ATI Drivers....are these any good?

havnt used these mate, heard mixed reports about earlier ones. I did use omega optimised drivers for a while but have found that the ati latest are good enough to stop me going back to these types. If you are interested then omega are here http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati/win2k_xp.php. you need to use atitraytools with these. If I remember rightly this was bundled with the drivers. The install takes a long time. I remember thinking my system ha hung once and was going to reboot but left it to get on with the install and it did.

I'm one of those people that cannot get the Catalyst Control Center to work, so I need the tray tools to do any tweaking.

I believe the CCC was initially on .NET 1.1 but then migrating to v2 and couple of releases ago.

The CCC requires 1.1

I install both .nets now and this seems to work fine, per Joe's and Bill's SOP with office machines they build.

The version of 1.1 matters, the latest from M$ seem to make the CCC more stable.
