I have also made another slight change. I have created two new versions of the map, "Caucuses Day" and "Caucuses Night".

Both have the ability to change to the other version and both can be re-started.

I spoke with some of the guys that fly Il2 today and asked them if it would be ok to fly some DCS with the Danger Dogz sometime? I undestand you fly DCS on Thurs evenings?

That is correct, yes we fly on Thursdays from about 20:00 UK time. You would be welcome to join us.

We use discord for DCS. I will send you the invite link via a pm

The sessions are generally quite informal playing on either the Persian Gulf, Syria or Caucuses map.

We were running a campaign that I put together but it stalled a bit due to technical issues. I may have it back on track for this week. If not we will play on a sandbox type mission.

Sounds great! I have all those maps. I am most familiar with the hornet, apache and f4 phantom. A bit ok with the f-14 pilot. Other modules I can learn if needed.

For this coming Thursday (10th) as I have not had the mind to sort out my Syria Campaign I would like to propose we go to "Here is one someone else made earlier". I have downloaded an updated MA_Foothold mission based in the Caucasus.

For those of you that have played this type of mission before it has been built with multiple scripts where you earn credits for achieving objectives that can be traded in for equipment or friendly AI flights etc

It has recently been updated so should be good.

It has persistence capability as well which I will enable so has the potential of lasting multiple sessions

I would recommend you go to Leka's discord https://discord.gg/cshgmgXuxE Here is the newest and latest with updated versions.

You can update them as you go with out effecting your achievement's in the mission. Lets face it when you have a DCS update, chances are something will get broken

@wingflyr - the post where you provided downloads - are they the latest versions? I saw on the ED downloads that the Caucuses version I linked to was updated in March of this year, is the _01 version you provided a different version completely?

Yes they may have the latest updates, but the one you download will work, if you choose to use that one.  You can update  it later along the way and will still continue to work also.

@wingflyr  - Sorry to have kept bombing questions at you last night, thanks for your assistance in getting this off the ground.

It certainly does look like it is going to keep us out of trouble for a while!

Performance from my end, I saw no issues at all. I know @PapaBear reported some stutters but I think that may have been a local issue?

I will look into the icon settings for the next session.

I also had some stuttering but I guess it's simply time to upgrade when the current generation of AMD CPUs gets cheaper.

@wingflyr thanks for guiding us through the mission. It went from being a bit frustrating at first to being absolutely awesome once we figured out who should perform which task but that's how it should be in coop scenarios 😁

I have tweaked the icon settings and uploaded the mission ready for the next time.

I have turned on the usual icon detail level but also put on fog-of-war, so its hopefully middle ground difficulty wise.
