rox Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 I've seen that thing fly in person. 10 minutes after the flyby, it's still in the flyby. Quote
DD_Arthur Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 I thought this was going to be a Gary Powers thread! Quote
Tolwyn Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 Yeah, I thought that too on the post, but I figure you guys knew it would be IL2 (WW2 related). Quote

Kira Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I wouldn't put it past the SAS guys, or "the other site". Lots of projects going on, and the 1960's was definitely a good decade for aviation. Quote

Kira Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Update for anyone who's interested: There's now a 1960's "frankenplane" U-2 in IL2, courtesy of SAS. For those new to the term, a frankenplane isn't perfect looks wise, but at the same time it isn't merely a placeholder, either. Falls into the category of "close enough given what we have to work with" . Quote
