They make great desktops too A great study of aircraft in the hellcat/sbd/flightdeck piccie....shows how much variation in the finish there is and how different the camo lines are demarcated...just right for model painters. Until you see these raw piccies you don't realise, especially as an awe struck kiddie, just how uniformity went overboard and randomness was acceptable in times of strife. Contrast that with the gleaming dig out tools on the gun carrier Monty and Ike were in...bull was still necessary when they dropped in. Are those shovels painted? Ever tried to use a painted shovel....waste of time. Natural, washed off and lightly oiled gives the best finish and performance for shovels....same goes for a woman too apparently 1 Quote
