  1. Well I have my button panel templates finished as well as my Helios gauges for FC3 F15 so I will be spending some time with this as well
  2. Well here are the draft assignments for my HOTAS and panels
  3. A blurb on using the mini stick on the throttle for TDC. It helped http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=97013
  4. As some of you know I have this map blown up on my wall next to my pit. I would like to mark it up with landmark locations (getting lost is a problem for me) so I can get my bearings. Anyone of you chaps know this map well enough to mark the landmarks that are in the game? poster-map.pdf
  5. Wouldn't be the first time that someone's wife would want a word with me for influencing their husband to spend money. LOL And also for Freespace 2 Open
  6. The pit running COD with the label templates finished and in place
  7. Now that I have my upgraded pit pretty much done hardware wise I am turning my attention on making up the button templates and HOTAS configuration for FC3. I figured I would focus on the F-15 right now. If anyone has any suggestions for which key binds are the most important and a HOTAS layout for the Warthog I would appreciate hearing what you have to say (I really do like to get other peoples ideas while making my decisions). Here is the pit running DCS FC3 F15 while using Helios to extract a number of gauges to a second monitor.
  8. Appreciate you sharing this even if I don't have the sim yet. I never did find one for COD a in text format.

  11. Yep just an old 19" Samsung hooked up as a second monitor to my Nvidia 660. VirtualCockpit will only work with a second monitor (COD) and UDPSpeed will work also on a second monitor as well as a networked PC.
  12. Here are some blank templates for the Warthog HOTAS
  13. Well here are my templates for IL-2 1946. I still have to work on the HOTAS assignments Left Panel Right Panel
  14. Also you could look into Falcon BMS which is free and totally upgraded. It will run on older machines also.
  15. I had FC2 all tricked out with mods and it looked pretty sweet before I got FC3 on sale (and have yet to fly it). So when you get one make sure you look up some mods for it. Oh and don't quote me but I believe you also need FC Lockon installed to be able to install FC2. Also FC2 has a limited number of installs (unless you properly un-install it). That is from what I remember
  16. Well I am sure that is not the case but I plan on using this for 'other' sims like Star Citizen as well as finishing up many of the Freespace 2 Open campaigns. Personally I find it hard to remember thousands of key binds for a few of these sims (let's not even get into a DCS sim). This will let me create a button template with the labels and key binds for any sim I choose to play.
  17. Personally I use Xpadder for my needs. Mostly because I have a lot of other controllers I deal with and it works well and has a very small footprint. I also like the AutoProfiler so it automatically sets all the controller binds for each game. Target also seemed like using Reverse Polish notation to do things. Maybe I just didn't use it long enough and I had already been using Xpadder.
  18. Personally I would think the throttle would be the first thing to go. I have a CH throttle way back in the day and it really does not have enough functions for me. The X52 Pro throttle was nice but the stick had a huge deadzone issue. I almost went with a CH Fighterstick and X52 throttle combo right before my wife bought me the Warthog as a retirement gift.
  19. Well the one I found was pretty close but the post was just a bit too big to fit. The pins were all correct. They were cheap on Ebay
  20. Well the next phase of my project is complete. I have all the lights on the buttons wired and both the GP-Wiz40 and BU0836X cards all wired up and tested. I have a few things left on the backside to complete then I can mount the panels. Once that is done I will work on the Xpadder profiles and the template labels.
