  1. It is a great bridge, nice construction, all that metal! A train named after the Stringbag? w00t! (It could/would carry anything too?)

  3. Bliss, thanks for those words! We're all trying to keep it alive as best we can! Promoting our server? Good idea... will do so right now! (Though does it need it? There's usually a decent number of folks on it... we don't want to overcook the thing! Not even sure what the box can handle performance wise.) Sharing missions is a grand idea, though the way this server works is rather unique, and there might not be anything to share - apart from the complete concept maybe... The server is running CloD using the ATAG server commander, mission cycles each 9 hours, it starts at in-game time 9AM, thus runs until 6PM in game. The base map was originally an ATAG mission, 'Struggle for Power' if I recall correctly, though it has been heavily edited ... mostly removal of redundant code Now as I am not at all familiar with C##, but ám with VB6, I ceated a separate utility that will make sure at random time frames, varying from 4 to 10 minutes, a 'sub-mission' will be loaded into the base map. (The base map was originally an ATAG mission, 'Struggle for Power' if I recall correctly, though it has been heavily edited ... mostly removal of redundant code) At the moment, some 67 submissions are in there. It's vert easy to add sub-missions, just throw 'm in the folder where the others are, it will be picked up by the utility all by itself, no need to change any code! Sure, that randomly loading missions has been coded in C## too, in the meantime, but hey, it just works now... so... all fine! Events? Hm, yeah, also fine idea. And we had one attempt I think... but truth is, at the moment, the majority of dogz still are flying 1946. Some more are in the works.... but nothing definite yet
  4. Meldon Viaduct is nice, but the issue would be the landscape! It'd just be weird to create the bridge, balancing on its center pillar! And creating the landscape would be way too much work, sorry! Ah, cool! The one in the movie ís actually a wagon, but I couldn't find one in the correct scale...
  5. +1
  6. I'm out of it. Completely. I found out the hard way that this is too much of IL2 for me... besides all the other stuff... Yeah, I could give up on hosting, and on mission building But, no. So, I'll do my best to wing up whenever and with whovyhever I can ... but no more training sessions for me for now ....
  7. Indeed weird... hope the issue's gone for good now!
  8. What if you use the version of conf.ini that you tried from/with Jabo, in combination with a new pilot?
  9. Good thinkin' Dom, as most of the key-settings are pilot-bound!
  10. Some specific pieces of sotfware can 'block' it for IL2, but that's rare... I'd simply try and run ChkMods, see if that fixes it...
  11. File Name: DF.zip File Submitter: FoolTrottel File Submitted: 22 Feb 2016 File Category: Missions All "Long Coops as DF" missions. This is to be viewed more as a backup than as a downloadable set of missions. As all missions are programmed to be used n conjunction with Dyna. Running them as-is will have all kinds of weird effects, like too many enemy aircraft, targets, AA and what nots. So, only download them if you use Dyna with them! Click here to download this file
  12. (Sorry, but I'm not joining this Wednesday... )
  13. Funny! Here's an alternative, also Funny, it's in German, should still work me thinks...( at : 0:31 another one starts, not so funny, me thinks something to lure you onto staying there)
  14. 16, obviously ...
  15. +1 on the age of the 1150. To have some form of 'future' proofing, I'd really go for a 970 or 980... sure, it costs more ... Like Jabo mentioned, this will also depend on the monitor / resolution. (Bit of a sidestep maybe, but what about VR, would he want to be be 'ready' or 'prepared' for that?)
  16. Painless, the dedicated planning / signup thread is here
  17. Our CloD server is back up and running, it's name has changed though: "Dangerdogz Americas (...)"

  20. So, in my hunt for a 1/64 (S) scale fork lift truck (I one to be able to lift my custom built 1/64pallets) I kinda failed miserably, as I had ordered a truck, 1:70 sized according to the box, but as it arrived it was much and much larger. Somewhere between 1:16 and 1:25. Failed? Well, this thing is all metal, steering rear wheels, connected to the steering wheel. The lift part goes up/down nicely in two stages, ánd it tilts ... ! All in all, a very nice model! And so, as I'm still modeling, I decided to create pallets fitting this model ... initially, I created a 1:18 scale pallet: That one appeared to be a bit too large, and further research shows this truck is actually 1:25 scale. So... And indeed, what's next? Safety warning: I was wearing glasses, happy about that as during the work on one of the pallets, I manage to snap the blade of my hobby knife... BANG! ... parts flying around, one of 'm hitting my forehead, above the right hand eye. Bleedin'! So, next I needed to replace the bladed. Opened up the container, picked out a blade ... yikes, sharp, cut my thumb! Bleedin' ! Should've worn gloves as well I guess....
  21. Due to maintenance, our game server is down at the moment. Will still take a while, it may be up on sunday, later in the day (GMT)
  22. Well, Fenrir creating and posting this video tutorial was brilliant! Yesterday, I managed to take off in the P51D, fly around, in perfect formation with Fen (P51D) and BluBear (F15C), - well, as you know, they do the formation flying, I just try and keep stable flight, Fen on the left, Bear on the right lol... Okay, so we flew, and then I landed. And nicely I did, or it did? Parked it up somewhere, took a break. Returned to the cockpit, and thought, "hey, this thing is good enough to fly some more!" ... so I took it back up again for some more flying... and landed yet again! Mind you, Fenrir created and posted the video, and I have not had a chance to watch it, now that's how effin' brilliant it is!
  23. Have added a Blue target for practicing bombing and shooting. Located at BC21, np7. View, looking East: To the left the gunnery targets, to the right, bombing target.
  24. Well, this was quite a messy session. Maybe it's just me, and I am flying way too much past few weeks... but I'm not feeling I'm learning that much ... lol I'll start talking less and hold back on comments, I think I am just uttering some frustrations, and I'm adding way too many "but's". Does not help the flow. And maybe, someone should select some suitable missions as preparation, in my opinion, we've had some fun, but also wasted some time left and right and center... sorry about that...
  25. Thanks!
