Pictures of Paintings of Planes... In the shop where my bridge is on display, there's also some paintings of aircraft. Me thinks the paintings are like 60x80cm's .... All three made by a local painter... just a hobby. (He also made one with Mitchells on a bombing run over my hometown, trying to hit the bridge... emphasis on 'trying')

As of now - well, some 20 hrs ago - the European server is running without a/c icons, and without icons on the map!

It's about the Keyboard part that is relevant here, not the Language setting as such... At the moment, I am running English UK for language, and United states International on the keyboard. You can switch the language setting with a key strok: Windows key + Space Maybe that's how it changed for you?

It coulda mighta woulda... We currently have 2400 coop missions, of which a good portion we have not even flown once... And, yes you can add hundreds of 'new' aircraft, and new objects and whatever stuff... who's gonna build the missions with all the new stuff in it that 'we people' can join?

So, this happened a few times with the F16... And nobody ever got hurt. Makes me doubt whether it's as good a weapon as they claim it is....

It does. Fast start needs the hibernation file to work, and by switching off hibernation, the hibernation file gets removed...

When using Windows 10, you may find that after a fresh boot of the computer, the order of the Game Controllers has suddenly changed. You will find that your controls are not assigned the way they used to be... The cause of this appears to be the 'fast start' option, it is new in Windows 10. And, by default, after installing Windows 10 it is switched on. So, switch it off! How? Simplest of ways is by disabling 'Hibernation', as most of us are using desktops and have no need/use for hibernation. Switching it off, also gains you some space on the system disk, side of some 75% of your computers RAM memory. Right click the Windows icon bottom left in the taskbar. Select 'Command Prompt (Admin)' from the menu. In the dosbox that now appears, type the following command: powercfg /h off (It will return no messages, if it does, you've made a typo, or have not started the command prompt as an administrator.) Next, type the command: exit All done!

Press left alt and hold it, right click on the window, select 'Close custom window' ... or something quite like that

Here's a thing to try - it can be a bit tricky though - go to Device Manager, Network adapters. Right click your network adapter and choose uninstall. If it asks you to remove the driver files as well, then do not let it do that. After removing the adapter, go Start, Shutdown, Restart. Upon restarting, windows will discover the network adapter automatically, and install the driver files. This will reset your network adapter and its settings, it may help, not sure if it will ... It can be a tricky thing, depending on your hardware, and on the currently installed driver - it may not be able to reinstall it, leaving you without network and thus internet connection. So better only try if you are sure about the risk, have the knowledge to fix it yourself, or have someone nearby that can help. (Well, usually, this all works fine... but ... well...) In game, Cable, xDSL should be good...

You happen to know whether the Ping values are as before? Weird stuff... Tried resetting your router? Is this on Windows 10?

Are you connecting to the same server all the time? Have you tried other servers, and if so, is it similar? I find that every now and then, it does get slow to connect... not very often. You could try and clear the cache: delete all files in My Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD\cache

Found these, created them some twenty odd years ago... From left to right a VW aircooled boxer engine, a bottle of whine and a bottle of Coke, and a portable computer, with mouse! In the front, one speed-skate ... I should have put something in the picture for size comparison, but the height and with of the engine is about 5cm ie. 2 inch.

So, apparently, this thread never really worked... Came accross some weirdo issue I thought I'd share here: Loadouts. So whenever a loadout is wrong in a mission, it won't tell you in an error message. You may or may not get the 'Selected aircraft not created' error when hitting fly. Anyways, here's what I found in HSFX 7.03 regarding loadouts, these are correct loadouts, swapping them will .... hurt the mission! weapons 1xSC1000 for: Class air.JU_87D3 Class air.JU_87D5 weapons 1SC1000 for: Class air.HE_111H6 Class air.JU_87B2 So, this is one of the causes we still have (had?) error missions. I have used Misty to make changes like this, as I somewhere concluded initially that 1xSC1000 would be an error in HSFX 7 (it ís for the 87B2), so I changed all missions to go for 1SC1000 .... yeah that action buggered up some other missions ... Anyways, got them all checked and fixed now... for this specific loadout.... Am about to upgrade our set of coop missions, so ....

Increased the number of submissions to 71 on the server. Increased the frequencies of spawning of submissions. More planes, more fun!
