it looks to me that the prob could be in HDD or the connection to the HDD. would be good if u could do a full format of the disk. there are also some HDD testing utilities on the CD. just to clear something up; u r using the disk in windows environment? when u boot from the disk u get dos shell menu. ones there, just hit enter. it is all ready positioned on the right choice. now the windows installation from the cd is going to show. it takes some time.

i have P5Q deluxe and intel core 2 Duo 2x3GHz. i also have 4GB Corsair memory. in the beginning i had some problems with the memory and had to RMA them. twice! but now everything looks fine. more than 4 GB of RAM is useful only on 64bit sistems. 32bit sistems can use 3.25GB maximum.

damn!! u just made my life a bit easier. i had mouse tearing problems for last month or two. i was sure some damn windows service is working so hard that it made my mouse go slow. i even reinstalled the windows all over again. your story enlightened me!! switched my great, laserguided, very expensive, cordless logitech G7 mouse for my old wired mouse and everything is working fine now thx m8

mb should have the same chipset as the old one to be sure that the old install will work. sometimes is even enough to have same chipset manufacturer. mb brand is not so importnant. but asus is good.

dl the ubcd i have uploaded, burn it and boot winxp from it. there is a lot of tests u can do there. if everything is working the it is not hw problem u have.

looks great. but i would stick with Windows 7 32bit. If u do not know what u r doing u could be in a lot of problems with drivers and programs not compatible with 64bit.

it's not the prob in balance. i've played a bit with direction gyro and got it to be bit steadier at least in one direction. and yes i am doing all that indoors. at least till i get little training. it's handful and very interesting. i've learned a lot about chopper flying.

i've got the simulator with the chopper but it is so unrealistic that i've gave up on it for now i'm just trying to make it hover stable. next would be to try to fly it some meters ahead and then to try to get it back.

bought my self a RC helicopter. It is a coaxial outdoor model for beginners. here'sthe link i was really surprised how hard it is to fly even a beginners model. i'm not sure is it my flying or the chopper is supposed to be so unstable. would be very grateful for any tips u have for me. it has a gyro. maybe needs some tuning?

what exactly is wrong with your hdd?. what does it do or does not.? sometimes putting hdd in the freezer for couple of hours can give you few minutes to copy data to another drive. something like an aspirin in the car battery.

There is no question about OT's good intentions but i think the shipping from England will probably cost u more then the RAM. Memory is cheap today DVD's also. Proc is one thing that could make a difference.
