Only thing other that what Tom pointed out is I've found if you pull the prop pitch back a bit 1/4 it is alot tamer on the roll out. and taxiing. Also the game is so much easier since I figured out my Force feedback was swapped. And no I don't have it mastered yet. And it does not behave anything like the AT-6 I flew 10 years ago or so.

Howdy all, I have overlooked this since installing DCS about 6 years ago, and each time I've flown it I have gotten disgusted with this problem or the combination of them changinging the controls on each update. Or the fact that I wasn't saving my setup per plane in its own folfer, and re-writing it with each plane and screwing up the last. Al those problems have been over come, but this one until a couple nights ago. FT and a few others and I was on and just discussing plane setup for the Spitfire, and FT just causually said something about the the FFB swap. Becausse he was fighting something else. I had been fighing alerion roll since the beggining with elevator trim, and was too dense to realize that this game can invert the FFB, all other games hadn't. I spoke up and he said he was sure Fenrir had set him straight on this problem but was at a loss at to what and why and went diggging for some notes. I looked at the control setting for the FFTune and saw it. But walla! once I swapped it this game just became loveable I can actually trim one out and let go of the stick. I had never though about about them being backwards, I just assumed that screen was there to soften or increase the forces. Should of looked closer. Still amazed I was so thick LOL Today I found out Funflack was too ;-) and I walked him through the fix. So now you know.

So far not much luck state side finding those things you have. I'll keep looking I want to set this up for whn using headphones whan the wife is sleeping.

Now its installed and I'm dissapointed the Spitfire isn't a module for the Nevada Map.

Well the fat guy didn't leave me much under the tree. So I took it upon my self and bought the Spitty and Nevada while on sale.

K:\Steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover inject fx - philstyle settings.zip Example Picture below INJFX.bmp Then once installed the {ause Break key flips it on and off. with it off you can see better in low light if your monitor britness is turned up. But with it on the jaggys go away and the colors look more natural.

Thanks Arthur! Now you got me wondering what a rotary encoder is is Crash LOL But no hurry for anything today it appears. My machine decided not to boot Win7 today and I'm getting a error 0=490 from it. I'm still able to access the machiine thourgh my XP and Win10 partitions though. after futzing around with it all day,I'm backing up what needs to be then reformat the SSD and drop a backup of the three OS's back into it. If that doesn't fix it I'm leaniong towards a failure of the SSD in the area of the Win7 install.

I'm not sure exactly what your asking Crash, but yes I can still use buttons or keys for trim up and down etc. Just not my rotary yet, the game will recognize the rotary for the command, but the commands are still spit and and it doesn't show the axis curve settings to the right if you program it.

Just ried trim on a rotary, It only works one way. You have to set two rotarys to make trim up and down.

It made me do an update today, and asked what controller to use. I haven't looked into the settings yet. Been trying to wrap my head around the Reshade+ Mediator thing, but am not able to locate the Mediator part of it that the guys are posting about and using over on their forum for this game.

I believe since you have a decent connection you can use check mods. Just create a folder Name doesn't matter but "IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 4.12.2" will do and place this file in it. il2fb.exe Then give it a try EDIT: Well what FT Said. An older OS to install it and copy paste the install folder is the easiest way. even if you have to borrow someones laptop. Once you have the stock game in you can build it with patches or Check mods. to your desire. Just keep a copy of the vanilla install backed up somewhere for later needs. Push come to shove I could do this, but I really don't want to make a habit of it. By the time I buy the disc, gas to and from store to post office,postage and the time spent burning, I'm loosing valuable flying time and easily have the expence of the cost of buying a couple of IL2 Stock Downloads or disc. I don't need cannon fodder or need to be cannon fodder that bad, LOL I'd rather spend the money on that new DCS Spit or the Nevada Map. But that at the moment is out of the question too, till I'm released back to work.
