  4. I can't seem to join.
  5. Shayd I've been showing up 1 hour late, the last few weeks due to IBS so don't sweat it. You lost me there???
  6. The forum its in is locked, so I can't direct link to it, but here is a bit to wet your mouth from it. Excerpts from the book, "Herky - Memoirs of a Checkertail Ace" [Herky speaks on the Stagnone Raid] The 1st of June found me in the air again as 36 P-40's headed for the Stagnone Seaplane Base in Sicily. I led the 317th Squadron, flying top-cover for the other squadrons as the strafed the base. The attacking planes came in on the deck by flights of four an popped over the sea wall that protected the anchorage from the open sea before anyone on the ground knew what was happening. The Group also strafed four vessels in the outer harbor as it withdrew from the seaplane anchorage. He said in a news release: "We just snuck up in on them before anyone was up moving around and got out before they knew what hit them". Lt. Rayburn D. Lancaster of Stephenville, Texas, who left two burning, compared it with "running the hurdles in a track meet". Lt. Herbert W. Andridge of Pittsford, Michigan, averred, "We really caught them asleep --- that is all except one who was taxiing to take off, but never made it because Collins and I let him have it. "And besides, that one that was moving," "Spot" Collins added, "there were three more and we hit everyone of them." [Herky] I had a great view of the fracas below from our top-cover position. I saw fire after fire spring up, just as if someone were lighting bonfires. Some large fires also broke out on the boats which were strafed on the way out. Filming will be done on the custom mod map vol_ItalyAfricaGreeceMapInstall If you have previously installed the ItalyAfricaGreece map you do not need to do not anything special. However, if you have installed the Mods using the FA installer and have not moved the maps folder to a mapmods folder please continue to Step 1. If you have a different install (AAA) please install the map by following this link: http://www.allaircraftarcade.com/forum/ ... rth+africa Step 1. Further installations (Italy Greece ..) custom 4.08 Map by Redfox This install of the custom Map is compatible with the FA folder structure: For instance, the installer will install the map into your "...\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\1 Basic\Maps" folder When you install this map make sure you point the install them to he game root folder. http://www.warwingsart.com/WarWingsServ ... nstall.exe Oh and check this out, its the reason we are not filming this week. http://fallenangelssquadron.com/modules ... =1040#1040
  7. Sid this is going to continue for several weeks. There is plenty of oportunity to join in when you can if you want. Also wouldn't that be like 8pm your time?
  8. Monguse told me yesterday to try and locate some more pilots. He said any and all DD/HH are welcome. You just need to sign up to FA site http://www.fallenangelssquadron.com//index.php so he can add you to the Movie room forum. From there you just have to get the propper downloads, and be willing to fly 4.09, and keep the customs skins only for the movie, until the movie is released, and then Monguse says we are free to fly them anywhere. Also when filming we need to turn our graphic way down, to reduce lag, due to objects and effect. They will take are tracks and play them back on a monster machine with every thing cranked up, for full detail. So if any of you DD/HH are up to it, let me know the next filming will be 3:00 PM EST Sunday-24 0f August.
  9. Good deal Painless, I'll never forget my first time at the controls. I was lucky enough to make it a warbird too. Here is my post on it over at UBI http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/ ... 6641084723 I really want to get my pilots license, but I don't see much chance in it for atleast another 4 years. Kids in college, I'm tapped.
  10. No, but it helped me find it, so I could manually turn it myself.

Well it sounds like you have played it as much as I have. I bought Flaming Cliffs too, but after a few weeks, I got really bored with it, and frustrated all at the same time. Jets have no real intrest to me, and I know nothing of modern armaments, and really don't care too. But if I want, I fire it up and fly around really fast looking at stuff.

    Guncam

Yep very nice, he slowed down the vid speed, could use a bit more dust and grain to it, but enjoyable.

Yep that simple. If all is fresh I install on first partition, activate it,set up all my gaming perifials. Then ghost it, then use ghost to install the same OS on the next partions. That way Bill thinks I only have one install. Then once that is done I add all my normal PC stuff to the first partion, and then Ghost it. Now I have a ghost for both partions, and in a pinch I can fly on both. I used to be in an International compition, and my PC died 15 minutes before a match. I vowed never again will I not compete, due to O/S problems. Hardware may get me some day, but no longer will software. Unless the game itself dies. Now I also have a third and forth partition/drive. One is My Documents, and I have both O/S directing to it, via the My Document icons. Next partion is all my Games. Most like IL2 do not require a registry key. So it works quite well. Even if bot O/S die, I still have al my games and settings. Short games like Lockon that require registry keys. I then have to ghost the drive,or reload O/S and install Lockon again. in default location. Once its installed. I delete the stock location folders, and my origional in the seperate drive works again as if nothing ever happend.
  16. Did these work?

VAC is Voice activated controls. I use it to control odd and end things, like multy engines, gunner positions, navlights, smoke, center tack Ir, and many more. I started using it back in Beta, and have since then payed the lifetime subscription of $10.00, http://www.dwvac.com/ TSO is Teamspeak Overlay, I use it to see who is talking. http://www.teamspeakoverlay.com/ The other two can be turned off as you say,I'm not sure why I had left java on, but it isn't on today, from a fresh start,

I'ved used FS autostart, and Black vipers, but I eventually elected to do dual Boot. I have one side for regular PC stuff, and another for Flying, tweaked via what fs autostart tought me and BV did, my flying OS looks like this, when running. I may have something extra going on there, last I rememberd I had it down to 27 processes. I have it ghosted to a disk, so if I get to running too much as in spyware and such, I just ghost it back to new, with all my flyingperifials rady to roll.
