I have some pics of needed supplies. 3/4 inch wooden balls ( I think 1/2 or 1/4 would work too I just haven't located any yet, and this was such an improvement I had to let it out before I did any more work).99 cents at hobby store and some reflective tape. You can get it from TrackIR or a Mechanics tool dealer and who knows where else. Mine is from my SnapOn tools infrared digital tach. And some sort of glue I used my Wife's Hot glue gun. Also an old pair of glasses mine are some cheap fishing glasses that had scratched lenses, I popped them out. I only used about 5 inches of tape, also sand on side of ball flat for the glue to adhere too. Now that it's out I'm sure others will be able to improve on it and tweak it some I'm sure. Guys post stuff but seldom give the details, I'm from Missouri the SHOW ME STATE. :mh: My mod works in the daylight and Dark too. I recorded track at 2pm with the sun shinning into the room. When you do it you will find that the TracIR stock setup on Deadzone is all you need, I have enough room to back away from sensor 5 feet and it never skips a beat.I was 2 1/2 foot from it during the track. Below is a jpeg of my head travel. While in the pit. I used a short pencil in my mouth let it stick out about 1 inch. I thought the same thing too, about the 51234 I wonder how you find out what it is from a server short asking an Admin, if he even knows.

OK I've use this in the past but I can't seam to get it to work an all the Servers I frequent. http://62.75.158.151/schnoog/ It doesn't work on all the servers I have, and I'm not sure why. I've compared TS versions, and it hooks to some new and old versions but not all. Including ours and the BlitzPigs. Going to post around and see if I can get it sorted, or find someone who can.

I made some ajustments to the Simulated Online Dogfight one tonight, and have rehosted the installer as 1.01 You can still find it at the same link. If you like just re-download and reinstall letting it over write old files.

Yes Gec my games are on a seperate drive from my Gaming OS. My Gaming OS 15 gig, and My documents are on drive with two Partions 200 gig HD My Working OS 50 gig, and My Games are in a single drive, with two partions. 200 gig HD

In that mission you will indeed die. But if flown with unlimited ammo, and fuel, and flown smart you can kill a few, and last for awhile. It also depends on plane choice. The best I've done was actually with a P-51 D, but I did not turn, or stick to a 6 of any of them. strickly Boom and Zoom. Spawn climb climb, and away from enemy. The once you see them latch onto your AI brethren, swoop in and cripple them, or kill them if your lucky. I'm positive it could be done even better with a Dora, or something that has cannons, and the abilility to climb and B&Z and possibly even play the missiion out, like you can in the target drone senarios. Good Luck Oh that mission is alot of fun with a Human wingman.

thanks B16Enk Just to clarify since Gec pointd t out. The only prgrams I place on a seperate partion, is my games. My working OS is 50 gigs, and it has photshop, PAint shop pro, virtual dub, dvix,ATI TV card stuff, Microsoft office, etc.

Fireman, I would suggest not worrying about Outlook, except for business Email. Go get a Yahoo/hotmail/gmail etc. account and let them store yourstuff, and even scan your attachment's before you ever download them. Outlook forces you to receive and open all attachments on your drive. If you want to view them, and if their bad guess what too late their in. Firefox also has an email prog, I don't recall the name. I used to use Firefox, but hated the fact I couldn't store my favorites on a disc, or thumb drive to have with me anywhere. This is the first time my machine has been hit, in over 6 years of surfing. Not counting my sacrifice machine I have for torrents, and other shady things I'm after. It's an old Pentium 2 that I keep around for that kind of browsing, and if it gets wacked I reformat, and drop in my ghost of it. Fixed up and ready in 30 minutes for my unscrupulous activity.

TOAD did you get wacked on Monday? Do you know where? I don't remember if it was late Sunday or Monday, I just know for sure I realized I had, and was loosing control on Monday. What was the free hositng site, so I'l know to stay away from it? Fireman there are programs to retrive data from your drive, aslong as you haven't formatted it yet. As I mentioned in the other thread. Partion Partion Partion. Keep the OS away from your installed programs, and your Documents. Make your C:drive 50 gig, so you have plenty of room to breathe. Then make a partion of aroun 75-100 gig for your documents, The rest for programs like IL2 and such. This way you can get a fresh OS and then image it, to either one of the two other partions, or directly to DVD. And if and when this ever happens again. you just image it back to brand new with all your programs and documents still intack. IL2 requires no registry keys to run, you can drag that folder anywhere you want including a USB pen drive, and even plug it into another machine and play it. Other programs require the registy key to work, but its no big deal, just install it again on your C:drive and get the registry key installed then delete the new install folder in C:/program files and then redirect or make new descktop icons from your original install, and all will work as before with all your original settings. Agian though I still recomend a dual boot. One for working, and one for Gaming. Think about it.

While your at it look in In C:drive My Computer and see if there is an empty folder in there named y I had it in both OS installs. I tried deleting it but it made no difference. But It doesn't belong, and it may be a clue to what got us. I was an idiot too once, what I know I learned googling, and school of hard nocks. You can too.

You sound and the machine Quazi is working on sound just like mine, I was able to get my windows disc to load though and delete, and reformat both of my partions. I then loaded windows in normally, and checked my User's and have access to it now too. So I just loaded Norton Ghost and am in the process of loading my Working OS. Today after trying to ghost it back it got ahold of my Gaming OS too, I was able to stop play, and make my date with SID, but that was it. Nothing else worked properly. Luckily I keep my Game on a seprated drive. I don't know what we got ahold of, but I bet it came from here, or some where very close to our pass time, and the pages we all frequent. So Fireman, my sugestion is if you have an old drive laying around install, un plug the one you are using then install the old one, and load windows. Once in and you have control, slave your screwed up drive, and reformat it, via drive manager in windows. Then put it back in normaly and load windows again, or leave it slaved, and partion it and put your MYDocuments on a partiona and your game installs on another, and use your old drive for your OS. One step further would be partion so you can have a dual boot, alot of times it can save your kneck, still having access to your machine when one of the OS goes bad. I'll post again once I'm ghosted and it works/or not I'll let ya know.

Yep back up what ya can, and reformat, and reload. If you can afford it go get a ghosting software Like what Norton has once its a clean install, you can back it up on your external, or on disc, and in a half hour if its not a hardware problem you can have a fresh install any time you want.

I should clarify I'm talking about Norton Ghost, not thier POS resource Hog System works, Anti Virus, and other crap they have. I've been using Avast, but I think I'llgige AVG another try, once I get control again.

I got wacked yesterday, and am still trying to fix my machine, I managed four trojans, so I decided instead of fixing them I'd ust restore, Well Windows restor errors out, I got no IE, and even My Norton Ghost disk won't load it back up, on my Front partion and Work OS. I can get my Gaming OS up and going, its fixed, but my working OS with photshop/ amd several other apps just won't load. After ghosting my Game drive to both partions, I'm finding that even trying to update to service pac 3 is a chore, I'm thinking someone has really sent out a good one this time attacking Unlce Bill. My control panel erros out on users, and Norton wont' even install, it errors out to. It like what ever has goten ahold of it has taken control of all the User functions, short the basic ones. My Print server, a Window 2000 machine is un affected, Posting with it here. [attach=#]
