I have seen that Java Language Integer error before and all I can remember is you just had to restart the game I think. Other than that you might look around on the UP or AAA sites.

From Wednesday Nights with BadAim: Here are some shots from my new Zuti MDS mission that I made this week for the Palau map.. This was inspired by the great screenshots from Fruitbat. I just wanted to be able to fly on that map for a few hours, so I added two bases and lots of AI, ships, and ports. It still needs some AI tweaks but it looks like it's about ready. I swapped out the default Water2 texture from the redko_palau map texture mod for the Bombsaway's seaweed and kelp beds.

Just a warning to be careful out there guys. Check things out and take a good look before.... well, you know. TWO escaped convicts have dodged a huge manhunt - by disguising themselves as SHEEP. This would never work if the Dogz were hunting them....

XPlane for the iPad? Just tilt the device and touch the screen to fly. I have been thinking about possibly getting an iPad. I kind of thought I might want to wait for the next generation. But if I got one, this would be very cool to be able to take with you for just screwing around.

And just to make sure I also posted the problem and solution the the Hauppauge forums, the makers of my TV Card and it's wonderful remote control.

I found a solution to the keyboard character problem I have been having in the Logitech forums here. Here's the fix. It's a problem with my TV Card remote control drivers I guess. Weird that it only shows it's ugly head when I am in these games. I had to reboot after installing this generic HID Compliant Device. Then Lockon FC let me assign the correct keys. Snack

This has been bugging me since even Win XP 64, and Now Win 7 64, and I have even changed keyboards from a Saitek to a Logitech since. Here is what happens. In only Lockon and IL2 (that I have noticed) these keyboard keys type the wrong characters so are not recognized by the game's key assignments. None of this happens in Windows or any other program that I have noticed. ` reports as kanji [ reports as AT ] reports as [ \ reports as ] = reports as PREV Before, I just knew my keyboard didn't work sometimes and the that [, ], \, and = were all screwed up. But then today, I was posting on the DCS forums that the Waypoint command did not work. It as assigned to the LCtrl+` key. Someone posted that they had the same problem and when they assigned the key manually it typed in the word kanji,not the ` character. They also mentioned the other characters that I have listed. So, this was the first person and post I have ever seen on this same problem. So, I just did a search on this Kanji key and it has something to do with typing Japanese characters. I checked my keyboard and regional language settings and all that I have is US English installed. Just one language set. So, what the heck is going on? I have been using Office 2002 for 8 years without this problem, but saw some post that mentioned something about it and kanji language settings. But it also is set to use English. Arggg... Very strange problem. But I am having to now assign keystrokes for these keys myself in games, which is not a big issue. I just would rather fix the stupid keyboard problem than hack around it.

I don't know the old systems you have used, but if you patch a system together here and there to make it work with a little spit and wire, it is hard to maintain and easy to screw something up. But if it comes as a package designed to be integrated into a system, paid for and supported by the developer, it is much more of a no brainer. As long as the developer and their support don't disappear some day.

Your only 4hrs behind me then, that's not too bad. I need to refresh BS as well. Getting back up to speed in Lockon was not too difficult so far. Finding good missions is the next step I think, because I was never happy with the ones that I flew in BS.

Ok Jack. Looking forward to it. I'll be testing and tweaking the missions that came with FC2. There are only a very few missions with the game.

When is a good time to just do some fun basic flying to test out your controls and just blow some shit up, or try some in-air refueling or something? Any takers??
